So i was in a big team game the other day and i managed to pick up the sniper first. I don’t always strive to get it and if i don’t get there in time i’m not too bothered, but what i am bothered about is when someone on my team kills me just so he can have the sniper. I wasn’t given an option to boot like i would have been given in previous halo installments, so i went about my own way of getting even.
So other than getting a -1 to your score, is there no other punishment for betrayal, and if so, don’t you think there should be?
Booting is still in the game.

Got betrayed by some nit in Flood because I was trying to get into the Complex glitch spot. Not for the stupid ‘reason’ of ‘hurr hurr, abuse broken game and get lots of points!’ but so I could see how the hell you get in the damn thing. Trying to get in as Flood is nigh impossible, and breaks the game.
That and I intended to simply shoot the two cheaters who were already in there. But no, he shot me instead. Then I got no option to Boot him. Uh…right. The hell?
Sods law seems to be that you get the ‘Boot?’ option for genuine accidental betrayals, but when someone genuinely does it…no option. Fun bloody times.
you can boot still i believe you have to watch the kill cam before you get the option but ive been killed by team mates and ive gotten the choice to boot them and i did guess they didnt see it coming because i got a message from them raging mad at me lolz that and in some cases it takes 2-3 team kills before you’re allowed to boot and if they team kill often enough it only takes 1.
