So I’m playing reach from my Xbox one and it seems like I can invite people to my party nor join anyone the only thing I can do in reach is go to multiplayer and let them choose the players in the mastch I’m playing but I can’t play a friendly custom game because I can’t even invite them hwhats happening? What do I do?
same thing is happening to me smh
You can join their party, if they are on 360. That is what I do with my friends that don’t have an xbox one.
And I usually let my friends host the custom games or find one for us.
I havent had any issues with bc reach.

Hit start select and make sure there added on the 360 dashboard not the xbox 1 and you should be fine i just did it
that doesn’t work I think you can only invite 360 players cause I tried with a fellow xb1 but he could only invite 360
It does work, you use your start and select button to open the Xbox 360 guide button so you can invite people and accept invites, in order to talk in a 360 party on Xbox one you can’t be in an Xbox one party and to invite someone from Xbox one you just do it normally like you would if you weren’t playing a Backwards compatible game. 
To fix it you have to be friends with the person on Xbox 360 as well as One
