is there a way make sure i dont get mached up with or against people in party, when i log on alone id like to play with people who are alone not get screwed by people in a party
There is no such viable way, other than making friends and going into battle with them in your own party. And please do not go out and make a second thread stating there should be No Party Playlists like in the Call of Duty series, because those threads all end the same - combusting into flames at the hands of people who disagree with your unoriginal proposal.

lol…nicely put.
I met more people when playing halo 2 than all halo games since, does party chat have to be everywhere?
It’s an innovation that a great deal of Xbox Live users have embraced. This thread is bound to turn into one of countless previous threads so here is the rundown.
“I can’t meet people now.”
“You wouldn’t be able to anyway unless they want to.”
“Well they should force people out of parties.”
“Well they will just unplug their headsets and mute you.”
“Well that’s stoopid. They shouldn’t be able to do that either.”
“Then call the FBI, Noob.”
“Shut up, party lovin BK.”
Thread Locked. There, I saved everyone the trouble.

Thank you.
Halo Wars has a playlist for parties and for people not in parties. That is how Halo Reach needs it too.

-Yoink!-. And he even asked nicely.
he wasent talking about xbl parties. he was talking about halo reach parties.
I wish there was a setting.

He meant in game parties. You know, teams of 4 that always end up against a team of randoms? Nothing to do with XBL Party Chat.
I agree that the game should try to match parties against parties in most playlists. Especially Arena, MLG, Team Slayer, Team Objective, and possible Team Classic. If would make it more fair and more fun for everybody.
Well you could play Squad Slayer
I actually made a thread a few days ago that covered this issue. People seemed to agree with my suggestions. Hang on I’ll try and find a link…
Got it. Sorry I don’t know how to make links so just copy and paste the url into the web adress bar.
actually i was talking about both parties i hate playuing alone when others are tacticaly at an advantage i dont have anything against parties i play in them alot but when i dont i want to play against others who arent you know like in call of duty…whoops i did exactly what everyone sayed not to
i play squad 90% of the time still get 3 to four people parties that do to the tactical advantage camp and own
Party chat should only be availble to people that are ALL in offline games.
Online parties should still be allowed without exception. Lets just get online players “into the game” so we can not only work together as a team, but have the chance to meet some new and awesome people to play Halo further with.
Not sure if its just a sign of the times but Halo community overall (at least games I find myself in) are not . . . well, how can I say it nicely . . . community friendly.
Nothing more fun then blasting away and meeting new friends. Hope those days can return soon

That is what I was talking about. Halo Wars has playlist for people going in with parties and for people playing by themselves.

He’s not talking about party chat…lol…

The only way that is possible is if you had a 4 man team on your side and they had a 4-5 man team on the enemy side. You can’t pair with them any other way because of big party restrictions.

Makes very good points, find people to play with or deal with not being able to communicate.
Is this thing with party chat a Microsoft thing? could 343 have a game without party chat, would they be allowed? dont get me wrong I love party chat and I think its firmly beaded in so why not give people there choice back? it would be nice to have a frank and honest explanation otherwise it feels corporate and a little sinister, when you consider this activley encourages people not to communicate it goes against a whole load of principles I hold dear. i am not going to lose any sleep over it but everytime someone brings it up I think, yeah that’s weird.
