Why can we not parry a sword throw with a well timed melee shot like in Halo: Reach?
That was a key feature in both the campaign and the multiplayer to give the guy without a sword a fighting chance.
We’ll be facing Elites with swords in the Campaign again so this would be great to have so that we don’'t die in 1 melee hit. As for multiplayer, anyone will tell you Infected on Halo Reach was unmatched.
P.S Probably so you can make parry a paid add on in the battle pass? JustKidding please don’t do that 343 -_-

Yeah it gave the person without a sword a fighting chance.
The person who parrys the sword will have low health afterwards.
It’s probably a strong cornerstone for the Infected game mode where survivors will only live if they manage to parry in a well timed fashion.
Extremely useful in the campaign against high level Elites and Firefight if they have swords. 1 hit your dead on most difficulties but if you parry you could live…
Check the video out from Halo reach, was perfect in the campaign too - prevents you from dying in 1 hit from elites on most difficulties. Awesome for multiplayer 1v1 melee intense encounters too.
A lot of people hated the parry. I kinda liked it. But it was only in reach.

Oo didn’t realise it was only in reach, played that one most - good feature
I don’t really think this feature was very useful… the sword user would either finish you off with a second strike, or switch to a different weapon to finish you off. I’m indifferent about this feature.
I’m under the impression if you let a sword wielder get close to you then you probably deserve to die.
