Guys I love halo Lan parties font get me wrong! But when ever we have those we either all bring our own Xboxes or we put two people on each screen.
It was the same thing with borderlands I was excited that they put four player split screen but when will I ever use that I wont. Most individuals have there own Xbox and putting four people on one tv is always the worst.

Yep. Hearing Halo campaign was not split screen. It didn’t bother me at all.
I agree, I’m actually quite happy it wasn’t announced to be in the game. Especially after the inane amount of threads complaining about it, and crying. Makes me giggle.

I am reading mixed post saying Halo 5 campaign will feature two player split screen at least. I enjoy playing with a partner on one box especially since we only have one. Can anyone confirm if the campaign is two player split screen?

I think it was confirmed somewhere that campaign will be single player only. I unfortunately do not have a source, but it is out there somewhere (wasn’t it mentioned on Twitter? I never check there).
My friends & I personally don’t use it anymore. It was a thing we all did on the original Xbox, but when the Xbox 360 came out we all got our own Xbox 360’s with Xbox live & we all have our own Xbox one’s now so it doesn’t bother us. That being said I know I cant speak for everyone & it sucks for everyone who still uses that setup though.
I used to have halo nights with my friends where we would do 4 player split screen on halo reach for hours upon hours. Then MCC came out and you can hardly play 2 player split screen on halo 2 anniversary without going under 20 fps. Really disappointed in this and I hope 343 AT LEAST includes 2 player. None of my friends have Xbox ones, and there is NO way that I can convince 3 friends to buy an Xbox one. One of them is getting one this Sunday so hopefully we can play 2 on one Xbox and 2 on the other. If not then I will be very upset. Especially since Halo 5 so far has been the most enjoyable and promising halo game in my opinion, and would be so much fun to play LAN co-op.

Sorry, but not everyone has two Xboxes. If my friends had Xboxes, there wouldn’t be a point in playing local anyway because we could just meat up online (which is a thousand times simpler than getting two TVs and two Xboxes and two copies of Halo5).
I used to play 4 player splitscreen with friends who don’t own Xboxes on the 360, but now it looks like I won’t even need to buy a 3rd One controller. At least I can still 1v1 my brother, they haven’t taken that out yet. Might be in Halo 6 they will.
What an example of ignorance. My Xbox one is constantly and consistently used by multiple people at the same time. My friends and I enjoy social time together a few times a week and playing games together is a great way of engaging.

No split screen that just like destiny that’s just like slowly destroying halo one thing at a time.first 343 made it possible to camp in halo 4, then online didn’t work for a bit in halo mcc, now no split screen. Come you can do it 343i you can make the true game it was ment to be.
back to the split screen argument, halo isn’t destiny if you don’t know what destiny is search it up, this is not a dungeon crawler it’s a sandbox a game that you should be able to play with you friends at home on campaign and multiplayer local- split screen, because a lot of people like halo I would say it’s the best game ever but now the can’t have the own Spartan in halo 5 guardians because they don’t have Xbox one and halo 5 is only one player.
I’ll say it again HALO IS NOT DESTINY so have splitscreen.
