Why doesnt anyone like the map vortex, does it just not play well on big team?

I have no idea - I have wondered this myself. And then I remember that Ragnarok exists and most people just shoot for that map.

not just that but exile too. Gets kind of aggervating when that’s all people choose

I for one don’t like the way the map flows, or the options I tend to get on that map with ordnance drops.
I do try and pick it to keep things fresh though.

shame, it’s got some great asthetics to it. I like seeing the green of exile and ragnarok but it gets a little old sometimes

Vortex is always so damn laggy.
In BTB it used to be raganarok everyone picked but it seems now that exile gets picked the most(my fave btb map) (ragnarok is a close second) third is probably longbow (I hate this map ) /meltdown and last easily is vortex it almost never gets voted for. If you incude dlc map shatter (like) is up there and wreckage gets voted for a ton as well (probably due to achievements I also dislike this map)
I dislike that if you play btb and have dlc you always seem to have shatter and wreckage as 2 of the slots. I like playing what I payed for but it comes up pretty much every single time for me
Back on point I wish more people would vote vortex
I vote for it or Meltdown every chance I get when I’m in BTB. I’m sick of Exile, Valhalla, and Longbow.
My friends & I have been picking it recently because it’s the only Wraith map.
I always pick Vortex when it pops up…Wanna know why?

343 went a little nuts with the rock spires in Vortex (and all their maps, especially the DLC maps). I appreciate cover as well as anyone but a whole map full of cover makes sniping, zone control, and vehicle battles rather frustrating. Most folks on Vortex gravitate via gravity lift to the central structure and completely ignore the outer structures. This makes for an entire game of Spartans rushing toward the center, dying, waiting the 3 seconds to respawn, and rushing to the center again. Even team slayer seems pointless, which is a darn shame because team slayer is the only game type 343 lets us have in Big Team Battle.
I wish I new why too. I like Vortex because of Forerunner Ordinance everywhere and people avoid it like the plague.
Exile and Ragnarok are good,but come on it gets hella boring playing them over and over again.
really… I dont really remember since I last time played that map… That is not the best map of the game at all, but it is good. I want to play it as well! Not just that Exile! Exile is amazing map but if we are playing just one map when there many others, something is wrong…
Because everyone votes for Exile.
Vortex isn’t my favorite map, but a lot of people think its really bad. I’m fine with it, but truthfully I’m not a huge fan of any of the big team maps.
Oh yeah, I forgot it’s also the only Rocket Hog map…
I don’t enjoy Vortex much so I never vote for it.
