So I just saw a youtube video (recent) of all the armor colors and customizations. This time around it looks like we won’t be getting a military/olive drab green color, just aqua and a deep forest green which is super bright. Why can’t we get the original spartan color? a gritty green? Why is this always so hard to include? Halo Reach had it, Halo 4 almost did…it was still too light colored.
If I had been in control of the Halo universe spartans would have never been any color except military green or camo. The neon colors really kill me, and its sad to see Halos art style go down the drain…and it all started with Halo Reach and bungie decided to have colorful spartans in the campaign.
I think in Reach it was done to make each Spartan distinct and recognizable. Also because they wanted to put your multiplayer armor in single player (which was cool). I don’t really mind all that much, especially since Blue Team is keeping it sort of basic.
the fact it was also missing from halo 4 really drives me batty.
Please 343 stop removing olive/drab colour. Seriously I DON’T want to be neon green, bright green. happy red, or lush blue. I want to be green. Master chief green. Not H2A green. Not Halo CEa green, Halo 3 green.
The reason I’ve played Halo since 2001 is because I love the idea of futuristic super soldiers grounded in reality. I don’t have a problem with most of 343s new vision of Halo, but it really bugs me that they can’t include a few simple colors to help fans like me show pride in and commemorate the old Spartan look.
Isn’t this the same reason it wasn’t in Halo 3 or Halo 4? Your not supposed to be able to create chief in multiplayer. Thats why his exact armor isn’t available and thats why his color isn’t available.

We still aren’t getting chiefs armor set, all i’m asking for is the classic spartan color. On the original Halo reach book cover all of the spartans looked the same. I want my spartan to look like how spartans were originally envisioned. Not exactly like chief, but having a noble armor set or mk V or IV with a drab green would be just fine. Plus they already included chiefs visor color, so at this point who cares whether or not we can re create chief. But again, i’m not asking for his exact armor as seen in Halo 5.

That certainly didnt stop 1/3 of the online community from going full MK VI with pure sage and legendary visors.

Well hopefully it’s not too late to add in the olive/murky green color. It was present in Halo 4 and should always be present for spartans. Hopefully they have tan colors as well, overall i’m just not happy with the limited color options we are getting.

Yeah, exactly, why’d they remove it? It was perfect! They better bring it back with DLC!

Chief wasn’t the only one to have those colors, Fred, Linda, Kelly, Sam, and the majority of Spartans in the Spartan II program had that color. People just want to go back to the good old days.
