It’s an entirely minor feedback point in the grand scheme of things and I know the new quick draw medal works too, but is anyone else a little sad that the noob combo medal seems to be no more?
Personally I’d love it to return because it’s such an iconic part of Halo’s history and quickdraw is much wider and only relevant to pistol whereas noob combo could be any headshot weapon following up plasma pistol.
I can understand why EMP assist is gone because (like with Spotter) it’s probably not something worth a medal untl the x5 level at least.
Anyone else think wo or just me?
Yes , I remember with great joy hearing the announcer say “Noob Combo” when head shothing a enemy after letting go of the charged plasma I had been holding for what felt like hours.
With Halo infinite Microsoft is looking to attract new players, I wouldn’t want them to miss out on something that is ,at least to me, a core part of Halo, the dumb yet rewarding aspects of a game that at times doesn’t take itself to seriously. Example the medals “Splatter”, the IWHBYD skull, and the caveman and other random Easter eggs.

I prefer when medals were done for something a little challenging or rare. Noob combo is neither of these.

Since MCC I’m a bit in the camp with FTC Anvil about the amount of medals, seems everything is a medal now so I don’t mind that they are calming a bit down with it. Would still be nice if the AI mentioned it though.
I would imagine not all the medals are in so we may get it later. Ive gotten a few exterminations, just no medal for it

**What about “Splatter”?**Most of time you get them from an easy kill, and in BTB there not hard to get.
I think it’s just a goofy yet staple of Halo to have this type of medals.

We’ve not had vehicles so… no way for us to know yet
Somewhat unrelated, but I hope 343 brings back the Hard Target medal from Halo 5. I liked earning that one since it meant I wasn’t feeding the other team kills.
