I mentioned this in one of my posts too. Apparently they just wanted to make Halo not Halo…
They changed so much of this game they should have just made a different game. . .
343i are fools and their legacy is leaking life force all over the place. . .

Even with the context of why the change was made, it’s still a fairly silly one all things considered. All its done has given people already upset at 343 more ammunition to use against them, and causes 343 to look as if they haven’t learned from Halo 4 and 5 and are still trying to change things for the sake of changing things.

It plays with slightly different rules than regular SWAT, so whats the problem with it having a slightly different name?
Its a Swat themed event with a swat themed name. At least it plays different than Tenrai event that remains a fiesta playlist with a different name.
I swear, this community sometimes just seems to look for reasons to hate something…

Even though it’s called Tactical Slayer, I’ll still call it SWAT.
The name change is just as silly as removing the police siren nameplate from Halo: The Master Chief Collection some time back and the flag skins from Halo 5: Guardians.

343i I believe wants to create new terminology around various game types and playlists. We’ve got to remember that each new Halo game brings new players of all sorts from around the globe.

Also they changed “suicide” to self destruction as well.
Assassinations are now “back smacks.”
No one asked for these changes, just like so many other things Infinite has changed, yet here we are having them.
