No news on bringing back gametypes?

So, no news on giving us the old fun gametypes such as race and infection. This situation is really making me lose my faith completely in 343 on bringin old gametypes in a TU.

I would personally be very delighted if the race gametype was brought back. In Reach race was my favourite customgame. I enjoyed creating race tracks and racing on them with my friends. And my race maps in Reach were good. I used to recreate maps from various Mario Kart games with little tweaks and extra additions to make them fun and compatible for Reach. And I used to put these maps in my fileshare and in the week I put them there they were usually in the top 10 most downloaded map variants. Before Halo 4 was released I was very excited on getting to create new race tracks in Halo 4’s forge with all it’s new possibilities. But no, this simple way of having fun was denied by removing race.

I’m sure the issue will be raised at PAX East, so it will be interesting to hear what people report back from the show.

343’s silence on this issue is extremely disturbing to me. If we don’t get any news about gametypes by the time the TU is released, I probably won’t play Halo 4 again. All my friends have already given up.

I have spent questionable amounts of time in my life doing the same thing. My friend and I made all 16 tracks from Mario Kart 64 in Reach. I have been doing the same in Halo 4 and so far I have Bowsers Castle, Wario Stadium, Rainbow Road, Koopa Troopa Beach, Banshee Boardwalk, and Sherbet Land. Almost done with Coconut Mall from the Wii. They work with the RACETRACKS game type and I added teleporters to work like checkpoints. We should collaborate sometime.

I am still bitter that they removed the game type. I read the bulletins every week hoping for them to acknowledge the issue and even ask in the discussions and get ignored. Not really sure what to do at this point.
