Been playing the game since it came out and I love it and the multiplayer and everything. Except for the req packs, I always buy silver to gold and I don’t get anything big. Not one legendary helmet or weapon yet

Well silver can’t give you a legendary but gold will have a low chance at it if you dont at least fill all or a lot of the rares or uncommons from silver packs, I still have yet to get any legendarys but doesn’t mean its impossible to get without doing the silver strat though.
You’re a level 53, there is almost no way you would be getting legendary REQs unless you put down a bunch of money.
OP open all bronze packs to get all the commons then do silvers to get the uncommon and rares BEFORE starting gold packs or when you open gold packs youll spend a ton of money buying common reqs. Use your brain before you buy

I am kinda in the same boat. I have all the commons and I seem to only get legendary boosts and the same helmet with nine different variations. I haven’t even got any of the new content yet. I am also level 60. What’s the dealio?

Get all Bronze first. Then go to Silver. Then Golds for last and get the best of the best.

The deal is that there are hundreds and hundreds of commons-ultra rares. The odds of getting legendary reqs BEFORE getting all of the other rarities completed is borderline non existent. I’m level 53 and have two ultra rare and zero legendary reqs. Legendary is very centered on end game content
I’m level 54 and just unlocked my first loadout DMR. I used the progression strategy with buying Reqs, buy all the bronze you can until it starts spitting out Req Point refunds of 100-300 points as the first card. That is proof that you have unlocked all permanent Common Reqs, then move on to Silver until you’ve done all Uncommon and Rare permanent Req’s. Even though it’s tempting because everyone wants to stomp around in the Oni Mantis, put off buying Gold packs until you have cleared at least all uncommon and a bunch of rare permanents.
Also - RNGesus will have a lot to say about what you get and when.
There is still time for you to salvage the mistake! Just keep buying bronze packs and ignore the dead draws. Its quick to obtain a bronze pack. Then go onto silver when you are done with bronze.

Ive bought many bronze packs only received 2 perms from them. Ive unlocked the vast majority of the rares and under using silver because I have terrible luck. don’t tell someone they screwed up cause RNG isn’t on their side. RNG sucks for me.
Just make sure you have every Common-Rare unlocked before you buy Gold Packs: they will grant you Ultra Rare-Legendary REQ’s every time. I only recently finished my Silvers, and I just got Tanaka’s Helmet, even though I don’t even have half the Ultra Rares. You won’t get too many Legendaries until you have at least a third of the Ultra Rares completed.
