NO new Master Chief Armor in MM

For those who care:
Do you really buy into the fact for the reasoning to not have MC’s new armor in MM in Halob4 bc the MM world is set before Halo 4?
Ok so lets break this down.

  1. I didn’t know that MM had a story?
  2. If that’s your excuse then how did MC get new armor in the first place?
  3. Stop being lazy. You’ve already ticked me off by not having some of the old favorites in terms of emblems. And I don’t even want to start on weapon skins…
But seriously give me a good reason why you didn’t put the new armor in MM.

War Games & Spartan Ops takes place SIX months AFTER the Campaign, not prior to it.

The reason Master Chief’s armour isn’t in the multiplayer is because we already have a Mark VI variant.

The Mark VI variant Chief wears has been specially modified by Cortana, meaning it is one of a kind and wouldn’t exactly make sense having thousands of Spartan IVs on the Infinity with it.

I still want it… And the storyline should not affect what we can or can not have in MM.

The Multiplayer is now Canon. Just because you want it doesn’t mean you can have it.

Was about to go on about canonicity but I got sniped.

Well, sometimes we don’t get what we want. Sorry.

Put simply, EVERYBODY would use it if it was freely available. You can also get it if you complete legendary solo. LEIK MEEE

It’s to encourage people to do things differently, and appreciate how customisable the game is.

Pretty much this.

I’d rather have 343 stick true to the canon

Its still possible to get close between a combination of Raider, Protector and MkVI parts.

Just because its one of a kind doesn’t really hold much weight. As if we couldn’t reverse engineer our own tech? Designs could easily be copied. But defiantly right that most Spartans would just use the newest models. But economically, some old models that are just lying around should be considered for similar upgrading and be available for use. After all, Spartans are now easier to make and new armor is expensive.

So does this mean all the people who shoot at walls, run blindly at tanks, and murder all their teammates are actual Spartan IV’s? Honestly from what we’ve seen of them ingame I wouldn’t be surprised, but that’s still a really questionable decision on 343’s part.

I highly doubt that part of multiplayer would apply to canon, but I recall MC’s new look was actually just a design update, and the nanomachines were just the explanation as to why MC looked the way he does. Still would have liked to have the new armor instead of the standard MK VI variant we’ve dealt with for five years now. Change is becoming required.

I don’t want to be rude, but you come off as spoiled.

Actually, I think you’ll find that Spartan 4’s are just glorified Spartan 3’s with new shells. They cost significantly less to create. Master Chief’s armor on the other hand costs much, much more.

I’d rather have a flashlight.

I agree, Master Chief’s current armor is really cool, and its a shame we can’t use it in War Games.

Unfortunately, 343i decided to make the Multiplayer ‘canon’, which is an annoying trend that’s becoming more and more common in games.

“Multiplayer is canon” has been the excuse for why there’s no Elites in War Games, and why there’s no armor like Master Chief’s from the Campaign. In my opinion, Multiplayer should have NOTHING to do with the canon, just fun.

Were you not paying attention to Halo 4 at all? Of course the multiplayer has a story, there is a whole cut-scene about it when you first start it up!
Personally I hate it when developers put the main character’s model from the campaign into multiplayer, because then everyone wants to use it, and do you really want a bunch of Master Chiefs running around in a match? I certainly don’t.

He means Master Chief’s armor in HALO 4. He’s not talking about MC’s Halo 3 armor (Mark VI.)

Besides the fact that Chief’s armor has been modified by Cortana, Chief should be noticeably different from all other Spartans for the fact that he’s the Master Chief. There’s no reason to have his armor in MM.
