Although after the E3 demo which was amazing by the way i still notice some hate on the communities part. most of these arguments have valid points however two have raeally made me upset as they are completely irrational. The first of these is that polls on the forums show that the changes to halo 4 are completely unwanted. What this arguement fails to realize is how little of the community is actively on the forum no more than 40% of the community. This what I’d call the hardcore we are completely dedicated to halo. Another 30% are the dedicated casuals they are also loyal to halo but just play for fun. the last group is the soft players who only play until the next big game comes out. The problem with us hardcores is that some of us assume that we are the only right players and that we are more important. in reality we should be happy with things like the MLG playlist. instead of wanting all of MM for ourselves we should leave a little bit for everyone. most hardcore’s aren’t bad but the most vocal tend to be the most negative.
My second Problem is that people are raging on features they haven’t used. Until you’ve played the game please keep it clean. And for those of you who claim that the forum community hates halo 4 heres the final showdown. just look at the poll.
There’re are matters for concern, I understand that. But one thing I don’t understand is why people look for things to complain about; one crazy example is that the graphics in Halo 4 were too good. I laughed out loud.

Next, once the game is released will come “Oh well if you dont like it dont play it” which is ridiculous when all we want is halo to be itself instead of copying the flavor of the week. Which has already been attempted with reach and the results are a drop from #2 to #6 in the series popularity.
I truly believe Halo 4 will be great. I have since E3 2011 and my confidence has only been shaken once… the game informer leaks kinda scared all of us hahaha. I remember when the E3 demo came out and the first two pages of the forums were just, “OH MY GOD SO AWESOME!” There were close to 20,000 people in the Halo 4 forums as well. While it eventually died down things reverted to normal unfortunately.
Since I’ve joined the forums I’ve learned a lot. One of my first posts were tell people to stop posting things negative while still voicing their opinions. I have not posted something like that since and I know that I alone can not change everyones opinions nor should I try to. People are 100% entitled to think whatever they want about this game. They don’t have to like the changes and they shouldn’t be told they have to. Where some of this community fails is how they present their arguments. Things like, this is why Halo 4 will fail or Halo 4 will suck because… is not the right way to start a discussion. It starts an argument.
Guys, continue worrying about the game, continue being excited for it, just try and present your arguments in a way that it will start a discussion and not a heated fight.

judging by the hype so far around the game and that it is number 1 in preorders i think halo is on its way back to the throne
People will always be negative
When Halo 2 came people cried that it wasn’t as good as CE
When Halo 3 came people cried that it wasn’t as good as the previous installments
ODST, same thing
Reach, same thing (although reach is an exception since its actually pretty bad)

lol very true, btw wasn’t gears the game that took number 1? I may be mistaken on that but I’m really curious as to which game was number 1 since halo was number 2.
some of the things I’ve seen (promethean vision, BR 5sk, and maps) worry me, to say that I should just wait til the game comes out to form an opinion is kind of ridiculous because thats what the footage was for to begin with.

By will it be Great i mean just that. When people claim that it looks like it won’t feel like halo it bothers me. you can’t judge how a gameplay effect feels by looking at it. If you go to RTX and play it I’ll take your word that it doesn’t feel right. If you were to say that it didn’t look right I’d agree on some points. The knights remind me of Crisis more than Halo. These features might look as if they play a certain way but might play a completely other. This thread was not directed at you as you are a very respectful community member. I actually encourage you to form an opinion and share it. This thread is directed at those who show their opinion in a negative manner or in a way that asserts that only those who agree with them are true halo fans.
