No more "X" call out!

from the footage ive seen, when your teammates die, there is no more X above their body… so i guess, il never be saying “rockets on my X” ever again. i just think that its something that really helps teamwork being able to make call outs like this.

and i love the game with a passion and will be getting the limited edition so dont get the wrong idea!

Thoughts?

Um… oh no?

Well, I don’t care.

Because whenever someone died with a power weapon, the enemy team ALWAYS took it in my matches.

Anyway, it’s still a beta build. It’s not final.

someones not a team player…

Hey guys! This just in! The Halo franchise has lost the ability to use the gimmick of having the third installment of itself be in 3D and to be named as such! We’ll have to hope they invent the 5th Dimension by 2013/2014!

ALERT THE MEDIA!

TooConfusing;Didn’tUnderstand: You’re making a big deal out of a not-so-big deal.

This may be really disconcerting… I’ve relied on the X many times. :frowning:

He he. Lehnaru, I could make a joke, but its Saturday, so I’ll be nice…

OP - Its fine. Most people are not going to leave a power weapon laying around. I’d be more concerned about how to predict where the new weapons are going to spawn since its going to be…

Not to be rude or anything, But I swear that every tip I’ve heard about call-outs was to avoid the whole “On my X” thing.

Basically because it will make your team look around the map for this “x” indicator rather than know right off where it is if you were to say “rockets down by (insert area call-out here)”

It’s no big deal anyways, but I guess I’m a bit disappointed too, as I’ve always thought it looked sort of cool knowing the status of your teammates through those indicators.

Then again most people thought it cluttered up the HUD anyways.

That is true in most cases, But in a social game its not really needed. MLG and competitive games it is not recommended.

I do think it it just a part of the beta, and should be in the final build. Seeing a team mates X on screen can be useful in some situations in any game mode.

I noticed this too. I personally hope they add it back as I don’t think it took anything away from gameplay, and I always tried to nade the area where a teammate died. You can already see when a teammate is hurt, although now, their name just vanishes from the HUD when they die. I think having the “X” is important.

Yeah, using X is a bad callout. The idea is to let your team know where the power weapons/powerups/enemies are WITHOUT dying and putting your team at a temporary disadvantage.
