No more RED VS BLUE in HALO 4?

I dont’ know guys but I REALLY hate, that I spend hours trying to get a nice color combination in Halo Reach, just to get the color turned into Red or Blue when I play ANY kind of Game List where you have a Team, I hate it.

I remember the first time I played Invasion in the Halo Reach: Beta, the elite colors were Like, purple, blue and that kind of colors that the covenant use, and the Spartan Teams used to be the 3 Types of Green, that looked pretty deamn good for me, but when they changed it in the final version I was Like, “ooohh, c’mon, stop this Red vs Blue thing!”
I would really love to be able to use my original armor color in Team Slayer, so we can really be distinguished in a match, because we really don’t put attention at the other players armor pieces (At least they have EVA helmet with blue visor…)

There could be special Game Lists for this, I don´t know…

What do you think?

Too many people would make their default armor some form of brown/grey/steel to “camoflauge” themselves, anything for the slightest of advantages. It’s been a halo thing for years, don’t change what’s been working. If you want your armor to be featured, go into a FFA playlist.

I always thought Invasion would be cool if we could sport our own colour schemes. It’s Spartans versus Elites, so who cares what we look like as long as there’s an even number of players for each race. Also, I have no idea why we STILL don’t have FFA Forge.

No red vs. Blue? Blasphemy.

It’d be great if you could have secondary colors show up on Team games, but It’d be more Halo-like if it stayed Red vs. Blue.

Don’t play team games if you don’t want your color’s taken away.
They should do what they did in Halo 2 and make your secondary color stay, also they should bring back Armor detail and flesh that out.

ffa and humans in zombies get their “cool colors” in MM, other than that theres customs and firefight. Red vs Blue will always be the halo team color scheme

I could only see this being able to work in Invasion, with Spartans vs. Elites how can you not tell what team someones on? In other gametypes there would be confusion and as already stated people would try to abuse it.

Id rather it stay…

HOWEVER… Only for team based games. Like Objective and Slayer.
Anything else… anything at all should use your custom settings.

if everyone had there default color for there armor in team slayer how would you tell the teams apart

You’d have to pay attention to your crosshair (green for a friend, red for a foe), but it would only work for close combat scenarios. Long range engagements could result in a bit more team killing without team colours or different species to differentiate teams.

Whew, i thought you meant the webseries.

How to solve problem:

Have teammates glow their team colour, for a second, when they appear on screen.

It works in other games. Like CoD and BF3. Everyone looks the same. Maybe if your team always had a waypoint…

I would just like for the team color to not effect your emblem color at all in lobby

Bring back Halo 2’s secondary colors showing or make the waypoint’s red or blue

Title might be deceptive, but I couldn’t think of a better one.

Anyway, it’s kind of a pointless idea, but it basically goes like this: say you’re on Red team. Your teammates will appear in their default colors, but your enemies will all be blue (and vice versa). This could be integrated as a personal setting or a Custom Game setting, but either way, it’d still be a pretty neat feature. It might be easy to fool, but that’s why I’d suggest it as a personal setting.

They could just have our emblems appear over our heads like in Halo 2. It was very easy to find the teammates and such. Who knows but that could maybe hurt the game engine and bit. I am not sure why they took that out of 3.

I think it is fair to say I have killed SO many uninfected players who are olive in infection while I am a human, I also don’t want to be on Red Team versing people who like the color red, nor do I want to verse someone who is fully steel and is camouflaged in that corner over there…

Do you want to guess what happens when you quickly turn the corner holding the rockets and your teammates are using the opposite team’s color? Even those who use it as a personal setting will burden their teammates by accidentally betraying.

EDIT -

I don’t know what mod decided to merge these topics, but I was responding to this:
