No more join in session...

Some days I play alone in H4, and i’m constanly joining in a game that has already started. Were losing by more than half the score, no chance of getting weapons on the maps. This needs to stop, and also this is a disadvantage of meeting new gamers. Personally I just leave the game, not seeing how well somebody did. Anyone want add on to this?

How about not leaving the game so you (most likely) won’t get a join in progress for the next one?

A karma system would be perfect.

The more you blatantly quit…
The more you get to enjoy JiP!

ok but why do i have suffer, and then i get to play a fair?

the karma system is perfect if you start the game from the beginning every time.

I would absolutely play Halo 4 single in matchmaking if Join in Progress did not exist.

Pretty much that one game I joined my team was getting obliterated on Ragnarok in BTB Slayer by a devastating score, with the enemy team controlling the power vehicles and weapons was the final nail in the coffin of me quitting the game.

This feature is ok in cod but not halo, in cod there is no map weapons. In halo if your at a disadvantage in numbers you are at risk. The join-session takes time to bring a full team back in the game as well.

I’m glad it’s ingame, it may be awful having to join into a game, but really it is great for the people who you are joining, and maybe even better for the enemy team as they get a better challenge, it is difficult to back to Halo 3 and Reach without it, it works great on CE PC also

One time I played a Reach invasion match where my whole team, except for me, quit. Never again, thanks to Halo 4’s JiP.

That’s the exact reason they put JiP in the game. Because having people who quit on you and therefor pretty much dooming you to a lost game is a pile of crap.

Join in session for Halo 4 is a double edged sword. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people quit and then no one ever joins to fill in the spot(s). I also can’t stand when the person joining the session makes the server go to black screen. I’m sure with Halo Xbox One the Dedicated Servers will have the join in session perfectly.

And especially in Halo 3 you were punished for quitting, so if you’ve been quit on, you can either quit and get punished or stay and be destroyed

JIP has it’s up and downs. Its good sometimes and it can be terrible. I been lucky enough to join games that just started a lot of the time. But of course I end up in game that my team is losing by a lot. I want it to go but at the same time I want it to stay

Join in progress is great thing. How many times I was stuck alone in previous halo games. Especially when playing with split screeners.

I have more of a problem with people leaving or getting booted and then NOT having people join in session.

Seriously, I’ve played multiple Big Team Slayer and Big Team Objective games where 3+ people leave and no one joins the game in progress. Why? On the other hand, I can join games in progress all of the time and be part of the team who is now 4vs8 and losing 480 to 130.

I think that host has bad connection and because of that game isn’t selected by matchmaking.

> Personally I just leave the game

And this is a major problem with join-in-progress. People need to just relax and not rage quit. It’s a video game folks.

Now that that is out of the way, I thought that I would hate JIP when it was unveiled. But after several months I’ve grown to actually love the feature. I can’t even begin to count how many times, while playing Halo 3 and Reach, that my whole team would quit and I would have to go it alone. JIP definitely ends this problem and I am actually thankful that 343 included it.

Most of the time I don’t mind it but when they put me right back in the game that I just quit that really bothers me. Or when theres five seconds left in the game and you get put on the losing team.

And you will never play invation again too

Not necessarily. We just know that it’s not in Halo 4.
