I was watching this gameplay video and was somewhat disappointed that the game ends abruptly. I understand that this fits the overall feel of Infinity multiplayer, but I’m really gonna miss turning around and rocketing my teammates, or riding the Hog off of a cliff…
I feel your pain. Blowing my teammates up with Rockets at the end of the game only to find out we had only scored two flags was awesome.
But really it’s a small thing that I will miss.
yes with the introduction of the birthday skull in reach my victory suicides were brought to an all time high, just to be taken away. I understand it’s for the best to establish a more proffesional feel, but it will be missed… I won’t let them see me cry.
Don’t forget guys, this is not the finalized game. While watching a lot of these multiplayer videos from MLG there were glitches and things that the lead guy for multiplayer said were still being worked on. Im sure we will still get to goof off.
I honestly found this more upsetting than many of the other changes in Halo 4. There’s no harm in it so why is it gone?
I must say though, this could just be the current build of the game for E3. I can’t imagine 343i sat there talking about how massively necessary it is to get rid of the after game fun/team killing =]
the music was dumb and the Br seems redundant now.
Let’s hope it’s just the E3 build that ends so suddenly and not the actual game. It’s always fun to chase one of your teammates for the last 30 seconds so you can betray them the second it says Game Over. (Not that I’ve ever done this. I would never even consider such a thing. /sarcasm) If it came down to it, you could always shoot a rocket, throw a sticky, etc. at the last second, but it still wouldn’t be the same. Sometimes the best part of a game is what happens after it’s ended.
What? This is the sole thing that kept me playing Halo. I’m now boycotting Halo 4.

I sure hope so. Don’t wanna be one of those guys, but it’s another similarity to COD.

Uhhh what?
It’s a shame that game over shenanigans have slowly been phased out.
They were at their peak in Halo 3; you could betray as soon as the game over scoreboard appeared. Or suicide. Or do whatever. I didn’t matter because nothing was recorded as soon as that screen appeared. That was great.
In Halo: Reach, you could continue playing after the game over scoreboard appeared like in Halo 3. But unlike before anything you do counts. So if you do intend to have some unsportsman-like celebrations, you’ll have to do it right at the very moment the game ends, otherwise bare the consequences.
Now in Halo 4 movement has been halted completely…
I don’t mean to complain… and this isn’t the end of the world…
But this is derivative of fun. One of the core principles of Halo. I won’t lose any sleep over this, but like I said, it’s a shame.

Sniff
Me either man…
Double post.
I always enjoyed giving any nearby recent enemy bodies a good tea bagging repetitively firing off my gun in the air and sometimes at the body. They can still see whats going on and thats all that counted too me. And if I was tea bagging a body that didn’t have a cam on it, oh well I still had fun!
Ah, those will be missed…
(Assuming that’s how the final version is too.)
I dunno, but I did like the music in the last minute of the match. However I am not a fan of the new points system for slayer. I would like it if they could just track a team’s kills, not points.
I was happy about intro and ending music but freezing everybody is just lame IMO. I hope they change this.
Kinda off-topic but wow… after watching that match it really looks like Promethean vision is going to ruin the multiplayer. It isn’t even that it’s ‘overpowered’, it’s that it doesn’t even belong in the game and you can’t balance it. Giving people a wallhack even when everyone can use it is just dumb. There’s no strategizing anymore and the handicap in the video proved that. Run to the same place every time, use Prom vision and wait for someone to run out in front of it. Pretty bad honestly.
the music is fine it’s the typical modern fps thing that stops every player, yes it makes sense being a simulated arena but It’s just more fun having those last seconds of goofin off

You could always just jump off the arena a second before the timer stops, or throw a grenade at someone, from what I could tell all it did was stop you from keeping control of your spartan, but the physics still worked while in the grey screen.
