Right for the campaign side of things this game needs to release soon!! I get people are upset but there’s no need to delay a game for a few missing features… aslong at launch infinite has a stable multiplayer, with some maps and modes and splitscreen I can make do without co op campaign for a few months… it will survive. More leaks will come to light and the hype for the game will die down if it gets delayed.
I’m hoping it has atleast this at launch
Big team battle with a selective few maps
Infection
A new game type maybe a firefight type of one
Theatre
Slayer
Oddball
Capture the flag
King of the Hill
For campaign
Epic battles
A photo mode
Emotional scenes
A f*** ton of tools of destruction to use in the sandbox.
Collectibles
I’d survive for a few months I think easily.
people who want to play this game with friends or family have to wait 3 months while avoiding spoilers. do you think that’s fair?

Regardless the media will be flooding with infinite spoilers… the hype will die down if they delay it

Now imagine sharing that with 3 friends playing the campaign for the first time….

y’know you could just play the campaign solo and be a back seat gamer & there you go sorted for spoilers for you and said friend even shared the story beats in same time.
seriously though it shouldn’t stop anyone from playing the campaign its always best to do the campaign solo first anyway. When coop arrives you could both swap stratgies of how you tackled certain parts and story beats as well.

You don’t watch Star Wars by yourself you go with friends. Same thing for halo.

Tbf I’ve always played the game solo first and I’ve played halo since og CE. Then I run the game co op starting from 3 after I had some months getting achievements collectibles, and running legendary solo.

It’s more fun fresh with friends than going solo 10000%

Not really at first in my opinion I like to play solo expirenve the story on my own… then mess about with some friends in campaign

you don’t wait for the extended editions of the lord of the rings you watch the films as they were then and there.
honestly though what do you get out of waiting 3 months to play a games campaign with a friend that can’t be done on your initial solo of the campaign.
Indeed it is the opposite of what you have written that’ll happen. The fact that it’s coming without base features for a halo game means that it will struggle to maintain users after launch which is a tremendously important time for games. Retaining user attention/drive to play (with a strong launch) is just as important as updated content down the line. This game is looking to be a repeat of halo 5.

Movies are different you watch them together…… not solo

Maybe delay the campaign and just release MP? We are in a weird spot right now.

Defo not.

weather it be movies, book or games or even in any different genre of FPS to RPG playing a story first in single player hits differently compared to when playing coop.
playing the Vacuum of your own thoughts can really help shape your opinion of something rather than being swayed by someone else’s experience during COOP for example my friend hated Borderlands 2 when he was my coop partner as he always had a terrible connection to the game and it negatively impacted the experience for him.
I can honestly say with the same as when Halo 4 & 5 came out this will be a small blip that people forget and almost reminisce on how they worried about the experience of missing out on the COOP action.
