I posted about this a few days ago how I stopped receiving silver packs outside of the daily win and login, and no more gold packs. I was told to complete more commendations for firefight, but I can’t FIND any commendations for firefight, just warzone, and I’ve finished all but 1 of them besides the WFF wins commendation.
IS THAT IT? no more gold
or silver packs for people who already played the game before this? Because if I’m not looking in the right place for these commendations I’d like to know, and of not then we need more specific firefight commendations because with the way everyone is losing no be will earn the points they spend back.
You can find the Warzone Firefight commendations under “Game Mode” in the commendations menu. They are placed at the very end.
Once you’ve maxed these out, you won’t receive any more free Gold/Silver packs. You’ll have to go back to the old routine of playing, buying them, repeat.

^^ this. I wish h5 had daily/weekly/monthly commendation resets to add more replay value as well. I think it’d help out a bit more on people’s play time as well.
This is absolutely unacceptable.
I thought the whole point of them
giving out the req packs for firefight was to eliminate the grind and make feel people more welcomed to buy packs over being forced to buy them.

I mean I got upwards to 40 packs from the commendations and playing bonus, and I’ve still got 2 ranks of victories to complete. They’ve more than given away enough to help new players out.
There are 4 total commendations for firefight. Promethean kills, Covenant kills, Boss kills and Firefight wins
Yeah but REGULAR silver or gold req packs would’ve more beneficial over all. Having the 40 plus was great in the beginning but as of right now I earn maybe 1 gold pack every 7-8 losing matches, 5 matches if I can win the last. The commendation req packs Were a short term solution to a long term problem, and I thought 343 was really trying to eliminate the grind.

Not really, you aren’t forced to buy anything, just earn them in the exact same way we have been for the past months.
Think of them as a bonus rather than a right.
I really don’t see why this is an issue? The packs earned from FF is bountiful? You get quite alot of free stuff which also, if one just thinks, actually eliminates income on 343s behalf. If you can get like 40 free packs from FF, why in the world would you spend dollar on 'em?
It’s not like you get WILD packs from other commendations, as you might have noticed, OP. It’s a treat and i think you should spend more time being grateful then… calling the end of 'em ridiculous? I already unlocked 'em all and they got me to 100% REQ completion in one day.
Come on now, be more grateful in this community. Every little thing can be bickered at but you get something as grand as cool rewards and suddenly it’s not enough? I remember when we were grateful for getting a simple ARMOR CUSTOMIZATION when Halo 3 released. I feel the staff of the community has changed… Greatly changed.

Yes you aren’t every forced to buy them instead of having to pay for DLC they GIVE you the option to pay for pack instead of playing for them
No, you only get a lot of free stuff for the first day or two of playing. After that you are right back to the grind stone, and the grinding aspect for points has been a big complaint since launch. The fact you get so many req packs and then it STOPS is a disgusting tease. If you got a few silvers or a gold pack once every few matches, say 3-4, it would make the grind seem less intense and make the game a lot more rewarding like it was a few days ago.
Playing 6-7 matches to reach one gold pack ISNT fun or rewarding when you don’t get any more commendations. Especially when the game mode is this difficult.
Those silver packs and gold packs should be a regular thing for every time you finish 2-3 losing games or complete 5 wining games.

Well they’re not gonna be a regular thing. You’ve been bestowed free silvers and goldies and even get 9 whole Golds for winning 10 matches.
They’ve been quite fair giving them away like that.

You feel… cheated?
You do realize they announced Halo 5 with the REQ system as we know it right? It’s been like this since launch and they realease a DLC where you can work out new, easy commendations for some free swag… and you feel cheated? OP, don’t take it as offense but you are currently in the bandwaggon of the ‘‘Self entitled’’ people in the Halo community, holding that opinion.
Yes i can see the benefit from giving them out as a weekly reward or something, but it certainly aint something to feel cheated about. Keep in mind they could just have dropped giving free golds for merely playing?
REQs are to be earned through work. Play Halo 5 and enjoy the game, you’ll soon see things unlock because you stay faithful and eventually you’ll experience a sweet taste of completion.
That’s all i can say but i just can’t see i agree with you. Those who play, are rewarded, those who work, are rewarded. It’s how it works.

So they gave a promotional amount of packs to help people getting into firefight, you were able to reap the benefits of said promotion. Now you are upset because things are gong back to the way they were two weeks ago?

On top of that. 6-7 matches? Are you using any boosts? It’s roughly 2000-2500RP for the match, right? So the math isn’t really adding up, unless you are losing on round 2 everytime
