No more Battle of Noctus/Urban

Either completely get rid of these maps or make them so that they suck less. Battle of Noctus is supposed to be vehicle focused but good luck using anything larger than a warthog because your tanks will get stuck on everything. That combined with the fact that the tanks move slower than I can crawl with 2 broken arms and legs and you’ve made a game changing vehicle nearly impossible to use. Then there’s the fact that lines of sight from the Monument are obscenely large. You be able to see enemy bases from there and moving out onto the side railings grants the person view of the rest of the map. Give these spawn trapping cretins a sniper rifle and you’ll end up dead a few steps from your spawn unless the game decides to spawn you inside your base for once and not in enemy line of sight. “Just take the monument early,” I hear you all saying. No. Unlike the rest of my teammates, I don’t like the idea of spawning at my base every time I die and having an exposed core. So me, knowing the consequences of not having a base, go capture the nearest armoury. We usually end up keeping that base and I decide to try and capture the other garage because by that point my teammates have failed at capturing the monument and are all dead. Even while sticking to cover I’ll die once I get to places without cover(massive space in front of enemy core) while my teammates continue to assault the Monument with absolutely no success. Then the afformentioned spawn trapping comes and then the inevitable banshee spam and I lose hope, sit in a corner at my core, and wait for the game to end. Now onto Urban. Biggest issue with Urban is spawn trapping. I’m aware that spawn trapping is awful in every Warzone Assault map but at least you spawn with some cover as an attacker. Not in Urban. You spawn with no cover and is in simple, a 6 minute long spawn tapping fest with people using the pistol and BR while on the roof. It’s a terrible map that desperately needs to be reworked or removed. We want new maps but not ones that completely suck.
tl;dr Battle of Noctus and Urban both suck and need to be reworked or removed.

Why not destroy Stormbreak and everything else then?

The garages are useless. Monument or get out. Don’t hide in the stupid garages. I don’t think I have ever won a game when we didn’t have monument.

i didn’t like Noctus at first, now its my favorite.

I don’t like Stormbreak either but at least it doesn’t have a central base with lines of sight everywhere. The fortress is still very poorly designed but that’s more of an issue on Warzkne Assault than actual Warzone.

I’m aware you need the monument but having a base to fall back on if/when your attempt at taking the monument fails doesn’t hurt. That way you can keep your core. That being said, the monument is still a ridiculous base. Being able to shoot anything instantly that doesn’t spawn inside or behind a base shouldn’t be able to happen. It gives the team trying to take it little chance of getting past their spawn and if they do they’re welcomed with a nade fest at the ramps.

Yes I still dont like that map because you can get sniped pretty fast and it is useless for ground vehicles such as tanks wraiths. The only great vehicle that is best suited for Noctus is the banshee, but even still watch out because you have nowhere to hide. I despise that map… hopefully the 5th warzone map is closer to apex in terms of escape routes/more balanced map

Noctus is a poorly designed map, I do like urban though.

Apex is a pretty good map. The Spire is a great base but the cores both have camping spots to pick people off from. Escape from A.R.C isn’t bad either. Modelling the next Warzone map after those would definitely be nice.

Completely disagree. Noctus is my favourite Warzone map. The Monument is a well designed central base, with multiple points of entry from which to attack and defend. The map makes great use of all the areas and is easy to traverse, It doesn’t have any of the wasted space that appears on Apex 7.

Noctus wastes loads of space. Everywhere that isn’t the garages or monument will rarely see any gunfights. The only time there’s a fight along the side of the monument is when there’s a ghost jockey there. And having line of sight nearly everywhere is bad base design. The second a team manages to get a hold of the monument, the game is essentially decided. One base shouldn’t determine the outcome of a game or lead to such horrendous spawn trapping.

The entire ring sees action in a balanced game. If there’s a proper back and forth, then action tends to occur around each base, this is also aided by the fact that bosses spawn in an equal distinct from both. The Monument isn’t really that hard to capture, providing your team makes the effort to attack from multiple directions. Attacking from one leads to problems, but when you spread you forces you should find that battles in and around the monument become less one sided.

dont forget the plethora of man cannons which makes traversing the map simple. Makes what would be a long run into a quick jump. Sure you could get shot out of the air but thats always been a risk with a man cannon on ANY map.

Most of the time I end up playing with randoms and they rarely have any sense of strategy. And you can’t attempt to take the monument if you can’t leave the spawn. I also have no idea what games you’ve been playing because the ring never sees any action. It’s only ever used for scorpions and wraiths to struggle their way through an obstacle course so that they can get to where the fighting is.

Just spawn at your core. ist even closer to the monument than the garages and ussually no one can see you there.

You don’t always spawn behind cover or inside the core and getting to the monument isn’t the issue. It’s being killed 2 seconds after I spawn that’s the issue.

The Monument and it’s sight lines give the team holding it an advantage. Holding the garages gives the team that holds them vehicles. If you can’t hold the monument, get the garages instead. Use what is available on a map in your strategy instead of complaining about it.

I hated Noctus to begin with now I like it, but I’m still to scared to bring out a land vehicle, like today I got out a ONI mantis and there was another mantis waiting out front of the garge which I didn’t notice, so yeah I could outta the vehicle bay destoryed it of course… then next minute I banshee ultra comes outta no where and finishes me of I didn’t even the mantis for 60sec which is crap ONI mantis are not cheap and are bloody hard to get fix this problem,

I don’t like stormbreak, because the fortress is the literal center of the map, were other maps is a base in the centre, if the wardan is there, you can’t get to the enemies side to stop them from getting the boss if you only have one armory, what ever team has fortress wins, and that causes req spams, so many reqs…

I love Noctus, the only Warzone map that I can’t stand is the snowy winter map (forget the name)

Both of those are my favorite, take them out and you take me out of the game. See the problem with requesting things to be taken out? You risk isolating players who DO like the content.
