Got my weekly challenge done in 2 days and now it’s saturday morning and I got all of my XP bonuses last night. I have to wait until noon to get 300-200xp a game for a short time?
How about instead of slowly trying fixes you overhaul the system and make the XP gain not suck at give us xp rewards for doing well and playing longer in games?
It’s 2021 no one is new to the xp gain game I don’t see why this is such an issue?
I get the same XP if I join a game and it ends abruptly because everyone disconnects from the servers as if I played a 20 minute BTB match.

Why don’t you go push the “implement career progression /xp” button for them?
Maybe you are out of the loop but they are essentially working on something like an overhaul. The changes so far are bandaids (their sentiment) in the mean time until the full progression is implemented
The simple fact of the matter in game development (IT/Software development too), is that nothing huge is going to be drive to the game from mid-December to the if January. Software companies become ghost towns during the holidays.
So just prepare yourself for another month or two of this XP system
I mean since the first two flights people warned them for the need of an overhaul. They decided not to until now. It’s on them for delaying it.

It’s not an issue for them. The truth here is that some, not saying you OP, but some don’t want to look at the truth that 343 is dragging things out for their own personal reasons that are not working for quite a few players.
Bungie pulled this Hogwash with D2 launch but they were throttling XP and got caught twice doing it through Reddit and tried to play it off. The games these companies play these days have gotten really childish as developers…
What’s the problem? I’m already nearing rank 70 and this event is suppose to last months…
I don’t even focus down challenges to get this done… I just play the game for fun mostly…

There are working on an overhaul, it’s not going to be done in just a week, it takes time.
These small changes are easier to implement and provide a temporary fix while they work on it.
Yeah most folks around here don’t like that word most folks want the fix now or like a few weeks from now which is impossible for such a thing

Just because they’ve known since the earlier flights and it’s not in already, it doesn’t mean they didn’t start the work back then. Especially after reading about he behind the scenes dev issues for infinite, it’s basically expected that this feature will take months of development work. Even if things were smooth in the backend, this type of feature isn’t something you complete in a week.
I understand where some of them are coming from, we wanted it adjusted during the flights, but 343i was confident it was fine, and now here they are, working on it anyway.

I was saying that in general this isn’t a quick (week as an example) fix. Even if they started right after the first flight, you shouldn’t expect it to be complete - even if things were running perfectly in the background
In fact, it’s a s*** show in the background you should expect even worse
