Its been revealed by Gamespot that the second hidden big part of the Ghosts of Meridian update is officially an non remix Arena map called Tyrant.
So once again we are playing the wait for more permanent modes game ;(

You’re right but since this was announced its confirmed its the hidden spot on the update sheet
No possible section for a game mode reveal now everything is always on the sheets besides small stuff

I’m pretty excited about the new map, based on the photos it looks pretty cool.
I’m disappointed there are no gametypes. Not a fan of Infection, but I’ll welcome it. I want KoTH and Oddball. One Bomb/flag for BTB.
Oddball is the only real competitive gametype missing and thats easy as a playlist setup with the settings in the game rather than a content update.
Infection is the only missing “fun” custom type and meh, as far as i can tell its only a vocal minority on waypoint that cry for it. I dont know a single player in game that gives a monkey about it.
KotH has too much overlap with strongholds.
2 Maps this update is pretty awesome, people fall too easily on the entitled bandwagon train now. It’s been 5 months since release and we’ll have had 2 new warzone maps and 4 arena maps (yes remixes count), assault, forge and the possibility for oddball. A slow stream of great community maps. Yes Halo was barebones on release, it’s not anymore.
Really need King of the hill to come in custom to make some cool map variants!

Its still barebones…
No Snipers, Doubles, Oddball infection and KOTH as you said, 1 flag ctf, headhunter, multi bomb for BTB, Race, VIP
Also no Action Sack with fun modes like Husky Raid, sumo, that sword/sniper mode Assassins I think?
Also where tf is Ricochet or an MLG-ish playlist?

Probably for Spring holiday as well. There were multiple factors causing a delay, unfortunately.
But seriously… you would’ve think Infection got priority by now. oh well, new Warzone map looks cool I guess.

I’m hoping that the reason this update seems smaller than the past ones is because there are two updates in April, and the second one will be a major update. Perhaps they moved infection to the next update to make sure they get it polished up?

Agreed. They won’t tell us until it is guaranteed to happen. They may not be sure if it’ll be ready yet
