NO MIC in Ranked Games

Please guys if you play a ranked game, play with a Mic! No Communication in Ranked games are pretty bad. Its a No Radar game so whe need to talk!!!

Best thing you can do is find a group to play with who all use mics. Every day there are over 200 “Looking for Group” posts on the Xbox dashboard. My rank has jumped up substantially since I’ve stopped playing alone with no mic teammates. Nowadays, the only time I jump in solo is if I only have a small window of time to play and don’t want to spend 5-10 minutes finding a group to play with.

Sorry guys, you need to buy a mic to play ranked.
I play without a mic and it’s fine. That’s what the ping system is there for. If you want communication your best bet is get a group together. Let’s face it, most communication is just insults anyway.

I don’t use it because randoms love to complain and insult their own teammates 90% of the time

I have and use a mic, but it doesn’t really make a difference because everyone on my team is muted by default (by the game - not me).

not everyone wants to and they shouldnt have to. i certainly wont use a mic when you have crusty teenagers screaming about how bad you are because you lost a single 1v1. i dont want to hear complaining about the whole team and NO callouts. there is rarely good comms players in ranked. you are not missing anything by playing with a mic.

also, by turning on the setting that allows you to hear others in game it also allows them to privately dm you. no one wants a-holes in their dms saying “you suck”

I have a headset with no mic. Just call out and I will hear you.

I am not typing in “No Mic”. at the start of every game. If there is a player with a mic icon and they dont talk just assume they can hear you and will respond.

You don’t need a mic to get to Onyx.

But I do understand the sentiment, you can push for a “Mic preferred” option to be added to the game, or you yourself can find a group of other players who also want to use a mic.

Just because a player has a mic doesn’t mean they’ll be of any more help than they were before.

You can ping whatever you want to. Not seeing the absolute need for a mic.
