At halo 5 that is. I can’t get my aim down, I can’t get used to the small radar, and the weapons just aren’t the same. Check my service records. I’m bad. I’ve never been this bad at halo in my life. My win loss is horrid, (granted all I play is FFA, so if you ain’t first you’re last), and my k/d is poor compared to what it was for halo 2 or 3. Because I never do good, the game is frustrating to play. It’s just not fun having this game be SO DIFFERENT from core halo. Aim acceleration and radar are killing me. Any tips you guys can throw at me would be appreciated because I’m about done with this game and probably going back to mcc. How do I replicate the old style aiming with these settings? I’m honestly trying to get good but the controls and mechanics in this game just aren’t for the old generation halo player. Adapt or leave is the new slogan for halo and that’s sad because I’m about to leave.

Go into settings
Change Aim Acceleration to 2.
Then change your sensitivity to whatever.

Put your look sensitivity at 4. Acceleration at 1. Keep dead zones the same. Ever since I’ve put these settings on I’ve been fisting dreams
What kind of tv are you playing on, when I first got halo 5 I was playing on a 60htz 40 inch and I just didn’t cut it, I always felt like I was a half step behind. Just recently upgraded to a gaming monitor with 144 refresh rate, my halo skills improved exponentially. I don’t know if this is the source of you problem but it’s a good place to start.
You are ranked onyx and diamond so I fail to understand how you are bad. Try playing on one of the playlists you haven’t maxed out yet. If you expect to be competitive then I would suggest to watch some streamers on twitchtv.
I went to You-Tube and there are videos on settings that should help… I suck at aiming also. If they ever get the servers back up I’ll try some new settings. Severs down so often sucks. No Reqs all of a sudden and I get kicked off because of their servers, I get a DNF for it when It’s because of them, I did not quit!

I guess I’m just not playing like I used to. I was pretty good at the older halos and I keep struggling to adjust to the new mechanics of halo 5. The adjusting isn’t fun at all, IMO.

It’s the new matching system and lack of social playlist every game in arena is sweaty with like skilled people it will definitely feel like your not as good. Imagine 1 v 1 ing yourself all the time 
For aim I have 5 sens deazone at 0 and acceleration at 2, feels buttery

Judging by your service record you really aren’t bad. Most service records I look at are much worse. You’re probably being too hard on yourself. I’d mess around the sensitivity.
