No matchmaking in Campaign Co-op?

Hello all,
Considering there is no split screen co-op, do you think that 343i dropped the ball with this…? Halo Reach had this feature…why are 343i stripping this game of seeming standard functionality?

Because it brings down the quality of the game for everyone and online co-op is what the majority does now any way.

Key word here being Halo Reach. As in ONLY Halo Reach had this feature. Out of six mainstream Halo titles, only one game had it. And 343i had confirmed ages ago that it was out. And with that, my expectations on the feature were nulled.

i prefer having my own screen anyway

I was thinking more of the lack of matchmaking in Campaign mode.

Oh I see. 343 explained that the campaign matchmaking service in previous Halos was underwhelming and more often than not paired you with players that screwed your in game experience. I’m inclined to agree with them because the few times I tried playing with people I didn’t know at all that were simply paired up with me ended pretty badly (they quit or did close to nothing most of the time), no fond memories at all there. On the other hand I still remember the 3 other people I had met right before Halo 3 came out and played the whole campaign with, I’m actually going to play through Halo 5 with one of them tonight. I think that experience turned out so well because we all were excited about playing the game, a common goal basically, and everyone having mic’s to communicate and get to know each other helped too. You can’t guarantee any of that in matchmaking.

Here’s why it’s good to be a Destiny player. Quite a few of my Destiny friends, like me, came from Halo and will be playing Halo 5 together.

I dunno how I feel about this. lets see how it plays with joining parties and games. Hope its not like Halo MCC

I’ve heard no complaints about that from any of the Pro’s playing on Twitch. If there were issues like that they would probably have already shown up and been noted on the forums.

Thats the other extreme. And is actually one of the reasons I despise destiny. I shouldnt have to be forced to play with others to advance into the story like how Destiny did.

it’s a same indeed there’s no matchmaking in co-op, yes you can play with friends but some people have a life too
