Actually Frank was clear to say that the 2554 models were aboard the frigate

He was referrring to Halo: Glasslands rather than Halo 4.

Yep, he said although the Halo 4 version of the Warthog is the 2554 models, they would’ve been introduced around mid to late 2552 and would’ve been on the Forward Unto Dawn.

But don’t you see? If Chief only got the warthog from the Forward Unto Dawn, then it would be the same model as in Halo 3, but if we see Chief using a new Warthog variant, then someone would have to have brought it. As in the UNSC.
