343 has put out an amazing project but just like Halo:Reach before it, came with a lack of custom game options. This isn’t some rant but just a thread to discuss the lack of custom game options and what should be added in update (like in Reach).
Notable Missing Game Modes
Assault
One Flag (lots of problems)
Regular Infection (turn off flood)
Insane
VIP
Invasion
Race 
Options are lacking too, especially with infection (can’t set loadouts so no speed halo or fat kid) and other small but important things. I figured it be good to get the word out so 343 is aware of the issues. Again, it’s okay the options aren’t there right out of the gate, same thing happened in Reach and they patched it in quite quickly.
Any other things I missed?
Yeah ha ha, I made a thread a few hours ago fairly similar to this one, though it drowned in the see of new “this game best/worst ever!” threads. Hopefully this one will fare a little better.
Anyway, on point: I really hope that they add these gametypes (or more customization to preexisting ones) in the near future, even if it is just for custom games. I can’t imagine it would be hard to do, and would greatly increase the amount of creative gametypes found.
Oh, and add Juggernaut to that list, please!
I was just raging about no regular infection, custom games has been completely ruined for my friends and I…most fun custom games were where the infected had a weapon…not a -Yoinking!- claw. I’m about to take the game back…
Will do. Reach did it pretty quickly, especially because of the lack of Alpha Zombies (now we have a lack of Safe Havens). I mean I am not in frenzy about it, I expected as much but hopefully they’ll fix it quick because my long term game with Halo has always been custom games.

Well VIP was removed in Reach, and are you serious? Assault is missing? that makes me sad cause I loved assault. I don’t think Halo 4 is going to be my LAN party game of choice because of that.
There are tons of custom games that I have found/made in Reach and Halo 3. The first thing I did in Halo 4 is try to make the game Predator (a loved game mode by me and my friends also with the fact Promethean vision makes it more like actual Predator) . I found you cant do this because you cant customize the flood load-outs and you cant make them only have 1 life (you kill the predator and the round is over). Now in finding this I realized that not only can I not make Predator but Ice Cream Man, Terminator, Fat Kid and about 3 or 4 more (the most frequently played custom games by me and my friends).
I really hope they can update it so we have Infected back!(while keeping flood as the ONLINE playlist and having infected available for custom games/forge).
