I remember when my cousin rented Halo 3 from blockbuster. I just recently bought my Nintendo wii about a month before he rented it. When I played Halo 3 at his house for the first time, I was hooked, addicted, over the edge for this game. I went over to his house every day until he had to take it back… But I wanted to rank up, play with friends, get a team, etc.

I went out and bought an xbox 360 and a copy of halo 3 the day he returned his copy.
I came home everyday from school and played halo nonstop until 12:00 am.
My nintendo collected dust for the next 6 months, then i sold it.

I logged in over 15,000 games over multiple accounts (12,000 on my main account).

So reach comes out and I get it and i stay super stoked for a few weeks. That great emotion, or hype I once felt with halo 3 didn’t last that long for halo reach.
I knew the armor abilities sucked. I hated the grenades, The hitboxes, the bloom, etc.
I still stuck with reach because I wanted to evolve, and ultimately move forward.
I messed around with all the different armor abilities, (yes even bubble shield).

Once I learned and understood how everything worked, I started to genuinely enjoy reach. Especially since 343 came in and cleaned up a bunch of stuff.

Sure reach wasn’t your tactical halo 3 style type of game.
People held forward, People Jet packed to the moon, And people armor locked for days.
I eventually found ways to kill them, in almost any situation.

I LOVE HALO REACH

Yeah i miss halo 3, but i went back and played it multiple times, still getting steak dinners on other generals. It was fun, but I have moved on, I have realized that Halo reach messed a bunch of stuff up, but they had to in order to start the transition.

I look at Halo reach as a beta to halo 4, a really crappy beta.

Since I have seen all of this new stuff about halo 4 popping up everywhere, I am super excited again. I’m going to log in over 10,000 games easily. 343 you guys are so amazing, I absolutely love everything I have seen so far. People can complain about armor skins, jet packs, perks, etc. I have found counters to almost everything for halo reach, and I will do the same thing for Halo 4

Seriously, every time i get on my computer the first thing i do is check waypoint and youtube/Halo4Follower. then when there is nothing new, i get bored of the internet.

Reach in itself was a great game. Saying that I don’t think it was what many of the old school Halo players were hoping for. When Bungie said it was their swansong to Halo people couldn’t wait, and then we saw it and realized it was nothing like Halo 3. You look at peoples profiles on it today and almost no one I have played in the last few days has Halo 3 in their played games and it is rather depressing because you have these kids who think they are Halo gods and if they were to pick up the old school games hey would see what they are missing. just my thoughts, though I to believe Halo 4 will do the series right.
