Hey, long time fan here, been playing since Halo 1 dropped in 2001. Kinda fell off after Halo Reach, felt too eh about Halo 4 to really be a part of the community. Picked the Halo-themed Xbox One up on a whim yesterday, and the game just finished up downloading about an hour ago.
Just wondering about this lack of a local co-op? Kind of a huge disappointment, considering that playing this series with friends and families while having them actually be, y’know, NEXT TO ME, has always been a pretty big part of this series to me…
Just looking at reviews I’m honestly scared to touch the game now. I thought it was going to redeem Halo 4, but if anything I feel like Halo 4 might be a good note to end my time with the series on. Anyone else wanna chime in? Any possibility that they’ll add in local co-op? Or am I just stuck telling my friends to go to their house and load up their copy of the game to play co-op with me, instead of enjoying their actual presence next to me like any normal human being would?
Maybe I should just go play the lackluster multiplayer, or buy another copy of Halo 4 so I can mess around with that Forge mode until the new one realizes the game already went gold and gets released. Or I can play through what reviews are calling a “disjointed, nonsensical story” by myself, so I can really take in every aspect of it without someone else to distract me. Or I can buy Halo Reach and play an actual Halo game again.
At least Buck is in here. Anyone mind telling me if he talks a lot, or has he been resigned to Generic Co-op Partner?
