Ever since I first got an Xbox my brother and I would do local co-op but now to play a game with my brother I need another Xbox?

The abscess of split-screen for this irritation of Halo has been talked about for months, this is old news. I’m sorry if you didn’t know about this before you made your purchase, but this has been a huge discussion point for a long while now.

had would be in halo 5. I didnt keep up or here about this either till a little bit ago pretty irritated as well.

Nearly every post on this forum since it was announced has been about no split screen. Almost every comment in a Halo 5 YouTube video was about no split screen and nearly every major gaming news site/channel reported the news. If you didn’t know by launch then where were you?

Uhh… Not everyone lurks video game channel comments and Waypoint?
It’s been known for awhile, sorry dude. Make sure to use the internet next time if you want info on how the game works on local consoles. Or look on the back of the game.
Yeah no local COOP stinks!!! I don’t care if people “knew” for months. I could care less if its been on the internet for months. it still STINKS!!! if you don’t complain they wont change it. Bring Local COOP back. One of the things that made it great!

I agree, no slit screen makes this game worthless! I am not a “gamer”, so I was totally unaware of this change. My wife bought this for US to play, not one person playing, and the other watching. They left out the best part of any gaming experience, playing along side your friends. All well, will return this, and go back to the older versions.
Agree 100%, not having local split screen makes the game useless for me and my son. I am so disappointed in Halo for moving this direction. 
In Halo 4 the creator 343 industries thanked us for “Trusting” them with the Halo legacy. Well now I guess we can thank them for breaking that “Trust”.

Like really, you found the forums to complain and yet didn’t know any thing from every new outlet from this past summer (even yahoo and forbes ran Halo SS articles… so if low and high brow had it, you got 0 excuses esp if you are on the forums to complain…)
