I wouldn’t want a Halo ‘hero shooter’ but I wouldn’t mind seeing a Battlefield/Battlefront style game set within the Halo universe if done right.

That’s exactly what Reach’s Invasion was. So it did exist in Halo at one point in a standalone mode. People loved it but it can’t be the whole game.

I don’t want a “hero” gameplay mechanic in PvP, as someone mentioned, it’s became overused in most other games.
But a class based system for co operative play would be great. I’m thinking similar to Gears Horde, where you want a variety of characters in your team to effectively manage the attack and defence side of the battles.
