no living dead friendly fire!

So if you read the weekly update, you’ll notice they are removing friendly fire and the noob maps from living dead!
I am so excited to play living dead now! I finally will be free of all the betrayal noobs!

The changes in the bullitin for living dead are very good.

only reason i played living dead was to betray people guess I’ll have to switch to grifball

Removing friendly fire was the best decision that they made. Who does it affect?

1.) Griefers who just betray the entire game.
2.) Players who purposely try to get betrayed to respawn with full ammo.
3.) Zombies who stand guard and betray others to protect their human buddies.

1.) I love to betray my friends. We’d just betray eachother the whole game, it was FUN.
2.) This is a good tactic. It’s almost like the whole camping arguement. Is it tactics or trash?
3.) What are freinds for?

Zombies is one of the most played Play Lists for some reason, and now they’re making changes to it? Okay. Sure. I’m sure I’ll have fun in… Griffball… Or… Campaign…

hey have they already changed the friendly fire rule??? if not when will they do this???

I personally don’t care much about these changes - what I would like is even more variety in maps and gametypes. Halo 3 had some amazing combinations in regards to Infection maps/gametypes. Reach has not even come close to touching that.

When the update is actually applied. A date hasn’t been announced yet, so you’ll have to just keep checking back for news.

No friendly fire? Laaame. It was fun to hear kids screaming from time to time.

It was getting old too, remember though theirs no better shield than a guest(1)…

1.) Then go and betray them in Custom Games. The only difference would be that you don’t have randoms to grief.
2.) Trash. Obviously.
3.) Griefing doesn’t suddenly become okay just because multiple people are cooperating to perform it.

It seems that you’ve been living two lives. One life, you’re John Q. Doe, employee for a respectable company. You have a social security number, pay your taxes, and you… help your landlady carry out her garbage. The other life is spent in Living Dead, where you go by the gamertag “xMercifulAngelx” and are guilty of virtually form of griefing we have a term for. One of these lives has a future, and one of them does not.

We are gonna miss you :frowning: but welcome to Waypoint

You guys take the fun out of everything. Friendly fire is traditional to halo and I love it.

> You guys take the fun out of everything. Friendly fire is traditional to halo and I love it.

Betraying and being a jerk isn’t :frowning:

Tehehehe I will run you over with a mongoose. It isn’t really all that bad. People love betraying so much that after the round ends, all the zombies brawl at each other, and I mean everyone. I bet you’ve done it just for a laugh. It’s part of the game. Freedom to do what you want and free roam.

Now that’s fun. O wait, now friendly fire being taken out so you can just have a strict goal to win in a now stale Infection gamemode… -_-.

I thought everyone has grown use to friendly fire since the first halo. It must be the new people or the picky whiners.

> People love betraying so much that after the round ends, all the zombies brawl at each other, and I mean everyone. I bet you’ve done it just for a laugh.

Betraying at the end of the round is acceptable because it’s at the end of the round; your betrayals aren’t screwing anyone over because the objective is now complete. Compare this to repeatedly teamkilling a fellow Zombie during the round, when they are actually trying to win.

> It’s part of the game. Freedom to do what you want and free roam.

If you want to free roam on your own, that’s fine, but when your free roaming actively screws over other people and infringes on their freedoms, you are crossing the very fine line between player and griefer. And as a griefer, you should not have even the slightest expectation that anyone in a position of authority will cater to, or even care about, your wants.

> Now that’s fun. O wait, now friendly fire being taken out so you can just have a strict goal to win in a now stale Infection gamemode… -_-.

If you can’t handle playing a game without screwing over your teammates, then you’re perfectly free to leave Living Dead and go to Rumble Pit or Custom Games. At least, until your behavior starts getting you consistently kicked out of the latter.

Yeah, because being an -Yoink- is fun for other people besides you and your friends. If you play Living Dead just to betray your team-mates for fun then you shouldn’t be playing it.

Living Dead is the most fun game-type in Reach simply because you get to kill zombies, not to be an -Yoink- to other players.

A date was announced in the bulletin.

February Matchmaking Playlist Update

Speaking of being eternally grateful, the team that designs the Halo: Reach playlists always appreciates the feedback you leave in the Matchmaking section of our forums. They’re looking for additional feedback this month, though, so let’s dip into the specifics of the February Matchmaking playlist update, which is slated to go live on February 7, so you can find out yet another way to make your voice heard.

My mistake. I must’ve missed it.

Thanks, mate. Feb 7 – I’ll have to remember that.

Not a problem at all! I’m counting down the days too. When I read betraying out of living dead. I searched the whole article for the date. xD
