No light rifle loadout??

The suppressor/bolt shot load out in forerunner slayer feels so wrong. Trying to engage anyone outside of mid-range is hopeless. Why not give us a precision weapon (light rifle) in the primary slot like every other slayer playlist?

I could be wrong about the Battle Rifle, DMR, and Carbine, but I think they are slightly underpowered compared to the Lightrifle. The Lightrifle, when using the scope, can kill an opposing player in 3 perfect hits to the head. So I think starting off with Suppressors and Boltshots is a good balance to start a match off with.

Aye, the Lightrifle can be slightly cluncky at close range but at mid-long, in the hands of someone who can aim worth a damn (ie. not me), it absolutely melts people. Way more potent than the BR and Carbine with only the DMR being remotely comparable at those ranges.

Maybe its meant by design to promote a different play style. Im not sure though, I won’t be playing it. Sounds like a good playlist for personal comms tho!

It was a bit odd for me at first as well, but I’d say this is the reason.

On paper, the Lightrifle is an extremely powerful weapon which’ll tear through other players with ease, but the playlist’s balance would be ruined if everyone spawned with a Lightrifle. Now imagine two or more players with Lightrifles targeting you at the same time; very frustrating, eh? I think it’s better if it remains as a map / weapon pad pickup as to balance things out.
