No Jet Pack in H4

Not a Jet Pack

He’s just saying what we saw in the teaser wasn’t a jetpack. That’s not saying there won’t be a jetpack. I don’t see the jetpack leaving anyway, there aren’t very many complaints about it and it is a fairly popular part of the game.

There have been many complaints about the jetpack. The main complaint is that it breaks every map. Why gain map control when you can just jetpack up to wherever you want?

That’s all I’ll say. This is a very tired subject.

I hope its only in the campaign !!
Multiplayer should be like H2 and H3 ,no AAs

They should have it as an equipment. Why would they put AAs in one part but not the other?

no complaints? how about damn near every single competitive person’s complaint that jet pack COMPLETELY removes the concept of map control from the game?

seriously, not only are people complaining, its wide-spread. jet pack just makes the game feel INCREDIBLY gimmicky, like its a little kids game instead of a serious FPS game.

Well, you know that YOU THE FANS where the ones who wanted a Jetpack in the first place… right?

Bungie didn’t want us Super Jumping anymore, so they gave us a Jetpack. Thus why the jump height is also heavily lowered. But I agree with everyone else, it’s a map advantage 100%.

I’m surprised even MLG still uses it…

In Halo 4 Frankie said it wasn’t jet packs, it was built into the armor, more like a jump jet thing.

The Jetpack wouldn’t be as much of a problem if it was more limited.

Consider the Jump Pack Brutes in Halo 3: They could not shoot, throw grenades, or attack in any way while using the jets, and they had very little control over their path once they were airborne. I think they even had a cooldown between disengaging the jets and being able to attack again. A more limited Jetpack in that style could be less irritating than Reach’s Jetpack currently is.

Halo 4 is a rebirth for the franchise and rebirth means revision. I loved the fact that you could jump so high in 3 and missed it when in Reach you barely got off the ground. I won’t mind seeing a revised jet pack in the Campaign since it looked awesome (in the trailer)!

Since I’m new to the Waypoint forums and next to never looked at the Bungie forums, maybe it is a problem. I assume the people here are more of the hardcore gamers, then sure you might be right. But when playing the game, I don’t hear many complaints about it. I play Halo Reach daily, but I never get to utilize the jet pack because I’ve become too accustomed to Bumper Jumper.

However, my points the same. The fact that it wasn’t a jetpack in the teaser doesn’t confirm the jetpack isn’t returning.

MLG uses jet pack as a PICKUP. they would NEVER ever ever ever ever ever use jetpack starts, because its to gimmicky.

watching MLG tourneys where everyone is jet packing would make halo look like a laughing stock, joke FPS game made for little kids.

arena and team slayer are already basically unplayable because of jet pack. if my friends want to play team slayer they say ‘you wanna play team jet packs?’ because thats basically what the playlist is anyways.

sad days for halo. sad days.

For campaign it would be ok. However if it does make it into multiplayer it needs to be equipment. Placed in the center or where there would be battles for it. IMO as I play Reach it feels like a cheap “get out of jail free card”

This is how i would like to see the jetpack function.
