The fact that he mentioned invasion probably suggest the “bigger btb experience” would be similar to invasion on a larger scale with probably a different name.
The bigger BTB sounds nice, invasion was great but I don’t see it coming back unfortunately.
Maybe we’ll get a tricked-out version of Dominion as a large gametype. Bigger bases, more/better defenses, more players, longer games. Dominion was fun, I really hope that mode comes back even better in Halo 5.

I just hope it doesn’t meet the same fate as H4’s Dominion, it deserves it’s own playlist.

This has been posted multiple times already. Multiple. I liked invasion, but it’s not necessary for Halo 5. They will come up with something better, hopefully. Let’s let them announce it first.
Hopefully it will just be brought under a new name with different objectives, warranting it a new name in the big multiplayer experience as he said
They have said mp will be on a bigger scale just not invasion

Me too I’m still praying for playable elites.
So this is basically confirmation that elites won’t be playable.
At least I won’t be wasting my money this year.

I really hope, really.
But at this point I just think it won’t have any kind of game like Invasion, and BTB will be (at more) 10VS10 or 12VS12…
As long as we have 16 v 16 BTB and playable Elites in Halo 5, I won’t complain about not having Invasion, although I loved the game mode.

How is Invasion not “necessary” for Halo 5? The UNSC are currently fighting the Covenant Remnant, thus they are still fighting Sangheili.
Invasion could fit into the storyline easily, and be considered cannon.

Yes! I didn’t stop playing Halo 4 until they removed the Dominion playlist, that was a major mistake on their part. I didn’t start playing regularly again until the Infection playlist started including awesome community variants.
I hope there’s some btb elite vs spartan. love the spirit of it
