I was recently playing Halo 4 when I noticed that my radar held no indication of somebody in active camo like it had been doing for quite some time with all the blue dots saying there was a camo player in the vicinity. This is making it really tough to spot Active Camo users when I don’t even know they are near me.
Please don’t tell me to use promo vision because unless you are able to tell they are in the vicinity you won’t be using it for that purpose.
This has been happening every match as of late and I have no idea whether it is intentional or a glitch.
it’s an exploit. this happened to me(today)a number of consecutive times in a match full of camo camping kids and the first thing i did was quit and hit the web. i eventually found it and boy that’s just sad
An exploit, so it is a glitch that when aided by wetwork’s bonus gives the player the ability to basically be invisible to the most literal sense and be basically undetectable even with promo vision.
> An exploit, so it is a glitch that when aided by wetwork’s bonus gives the player the ability to basically be invisible to the most literal sense and be basically undetectable even with promo vision.
it is not an exploit. It is actually meant to be like that if you combine the Wetworks/stealth mod with AC. 343i in the Halo 4 Guide Book etc mentions this as a good comb to use.
Actually wetwork isn’t required to do it
So they are deliberately making camo users undetectable by anything. that is just wrong.
It’s definitely an exploit from what I’ve been told, I had it happen to me in a recent game too. Can anyone actually confirm what causes it to occur?

I have the Halo 4 Official Game Guide. Nowhere have I read that Stealth with AC will not cause radar jamming.
without the radar jamming it is really OP in that the users can camp all day moving around and nobody will ever know they are there before they strike. Sure it worked in Halo CE-3 but that was only because it had a really long spawn time in matches to make sure it wasn’t abused.
I did not mention radar jamming. However, I can confirm that the Halo 4 Gide book does not mention that but as I said does mention that the stealth/wetworks mod and AC do work well together. AC for its know advantages and the stealth for its…together, a good combination.
I’m not sure what is meant by radar jamming. If the AC/stealth user is crouched and he or she doesn’t show up on your radar, that is how its meant to be. On the other hand, if they are standing and moving and do not show up, then that’s is just wrong.
typically whether moving or not the radar would be jammed with a bunch of false blips indicating there was somebody in camo but you wouldn’t know where exactly without promo vision. The problem is that these false blips aren’t showing and as such are allowing the stealthed player to be completely invisible unless somebody notices something odd such as air dis figuration showing a person is camoed.
Even if the AC user is crouched- if the ability is active- then the white dots should still be appearing on enemy radars- but I’ve noticed a couple of times where a camo user has appeared in front of me despite there being no white blips on the radar.

I use AC but not stealth as I find other mods more useful. Even as an AC user, I find this problem as described, wrong. AC, IMO, is fine but if its acting like it is with stealth added, thats just too OP. A fix would be nice but without nerfing the AC. Stealth is the issue…fix it if needs be.
the radar jam is the only thing that needs tweaking in reagards to active camo.

Actually, on my Radar, it shows a blue dots for me with a yellow marker in its middle indicating me and whenever an enemy using camo is near by, they too are blue dots with a red marker indicating them in the middle of it. I’ve never seen white dots!
PS, I have re-checked my Halo 4 Guide book and state that I am in error with my earlier statement about 343i mentioning AC and stealth together…I apologize for my error.
Messing around in split-screen, I can say with some certainty that Active Camo works something like this:
Crouch-walking/still - random blue dots
Running, but not at full speed - a blue dot that actually is you shows up.
Running/sprinting - blue dots, plus a red dot.
If for some reason you don’t believe me, go crouch with active camo on, and you’ll see blue dots on your radar, which is pretty much a guarantee that this is a bug of some sort.
The AA’s for Halo 4 in general have been toned down. Jetpack has a little less thrust, Hardlight Shield is one half of Drop Shield, Regen Field is the other, etc.
Having Camo with no indication of you having Camo would be sort of ridiculous.
Yeah that happens to me too.
So why is this problem of no indication of camo users happening?
This issue is pretty widespread, I see it in almost every game.
It’s gotta be a glitch, im sure they’ll fix it or alter Camo or remove it TILL they fix it.
