No incentive to play games where team has quit

I find this a huge problem in matchmaking. There is no incentive to keep playing a game where team members have quit out. What once was a balanced and fun match is now a throwaway of my time.

Sure I still get points for losing with half my team, but it doesn’t reflect the effort I tried to put in when the odds are 2:1. Sure there is an attempt to put people into matches-in-progress but most often this does not happen, especially where close to half the team has quit.
It’s very annoying to be playing a good game when half the team quits and I’m scrambling to fight double the enemies. I know people quit, whatever, they can do what they want. But then there goes my team’s chance for vehicle control or weapon control.
There could be a point bonus for finishing out a lopsided game, or a badge like “Good Sport” or something. SOMETHING at all.

It’s an idea, I think so…

Is it just me or does this seem to happen to people constantly. Literally every time I load up Team Action Sack or Team Snipers at least one person quits during map voting, then another once they realize a team of three average players can’t compete with 100% commendation pros. Another thing that always seems to happen is that I get put on a team of SR 12’s, and the other team is all above 80. I thought matchmaking was supposed to balance skill levels. I agree with you, there should be some kind of compensation for fighting a losing battle. Doesn’t have to be huge, maybe a few hundred bonus xp, just something.

if you see me online as a SR39, i havent actually worked that up, i got 20 levels from spartan assault, and the rest i just used GOTY bonuses to get by, i accept that i am a pretty big noob, sure i come MVP in 2/3 matches but the 1/3 i just suck, sad thing was i was really good at Halo’s 1/2/3 and i spent tons of time owning on halo reach. for example on a 2v4 situation i came out with about 40 kills. either way, i can tell when the SR130’s are dissapointed when im on their team with a bunch of SR2’s. so this would help.

The badge wouldn’t really work. Because you may be verbally abusing them :\ that’s not good sportsmanship and then also how many points would you get for it?

Also what shouldn’t you then just get extra XP For losing? Wouldn’t you then get Extra XP Whenever you lose?
