I’m really happy that Halo finally got it’s stuff together and released a proper companion app but why aren’t the forums accessible from within the app? I want phone notifications and the ability to reply to threads while not immediately in reach of a computer. The only way to post from your phone is to log into the site via mobile browser which is a very, very bad UX. Can we please get this added? That was honestly more than half the reason I was excited in the first place. Is there some technical limitation here? What gives.

@Qwerty_polopus You should check out the Discourse app for a decent mobile experience when browsing the forums. Download it and log into your Waypoint account. You get push notifications when someone replies to you, mentions you, or if a moderator messages you. There may be other things too but I’m not sure. I don’t get them when someone likes or reacts to my post (or 30 of them at a time…
).
I’ve had it since the transition to the current iteration of the forums and it’s been great, save for recently I have to push back twice each time I want to exit out of a thread. I’m not sure why that’s started happening but it’s not make or break. It might not even affect you.
This is much better than logging in through a browser on your cell to read/post.

Oh by the way I should clarify on why this is happening to you. You see when you’re constantly barraged with notifications from bait medals and missed the point medals, it gets annoying right?
Especially when the person adding said medal goes out of their way over to an entirely different forum section just to add it. Over and over again. While never contributing to the conversation. Well, maybe you should not do that? Maybe just don’t interact if you don’t like something?
That’s what I would do if I was said person.

Thanks for calling that out, I’ll check out the Discourse app. Still, it’s annoying you have to use a 3rd party app to boostrap the mobile experience rather than just having it built into the official client.
