No Hornet or Falcon?

Any explanation for this?

Does it not work in the H4 sandbox very well?
I’m a little confused, I liked the UNSC air vehicles, don’t see why they need to remove them.

If you want the campaign game footage you can actually see falcons

> If you want the campaign game footage you can actually see falcons

I can confirm that

The Falcon will make some appearances but is not playable.

It’s not like we’d make much use of those vehicles anyway, they were rarely used effectively in Matchmaking.

> If you want the campaign game footage you can actually see falcons

Yeah but it’s just not in the mm sandbox.

OP, I’m not sure why they did it exactly. Maybe because they were never entirely effective vehicles. Rockets and lasers, etc couldn’t be avoided easily and compared to the banshee it doesn’t stand a chance. Maybe they want to stick with a few vehicles that work really well?

I can see why they wouldn’t want to bring back the hornet,
it was far to over powered
2 Homing missiles
2 machine guns
2 free passenger seats

Way over powered

The falcon while yes it relied on a crew as long as the pilot was capable it could beat any banshee.
so I think the falcon worked well, I personally am glad we wont see the hornet again.

Yeah right, the falcon isn’t always full and even still the banshee beats falcon 9 times out of 10 in my experience. The banshee can do flips to avoid the falcon pretty easily and the falcon takes coordination between the gunner and driver to focus on the banshee and usually the driver is an idiot who is like trying to splatter someone. The banshee only needs to fire like 1-2 banshee bombs, usually 1 because the falcon is slow moving and easily takes fire from everyone on the ground with power weapons. In my expierience those are my observations.

so basicaly… we now have 1 flying vehicle in MM… well this is gonna be fun  the falcon and hornet were amazing, even if they were only in Custom gmaes and not in MM i dont care we need one!!

We need the Hawk!

Your wish came true, OP.

This post gave me cancer…

Seriously, I can’t fathom why they wouldn’t be there. I’ve gone an entire match without dying just piloting the Falcon with a couple buddies in the gunner seats (okay, so maybe I died due to friendly fire, but that doesn’t count). Falcons are probably the singularly most useful vehicle in the game, and would be even more so if the DMR wasn’t the monster it is (was?) or if the campaign versions were in multiplayer.

The Hornet, not so much. It was certainly harder to fly, but it had more firepower (until they made it a flying deathtrap in Avalanche–not saying it wasn’t overpowered before, but the passenger version is kind of ridiculous). In terms of pure fun, the Falcon is definitely more fun.

Talking about Falcon verses Banshee, I have rarely seen a Banshee beat a Falcon in a fair fight (meaning the gunner of the Falcon isn’t stupid and actually shoots and their is no interference from the ground). So I don’t know what you guys are talking about.

And I also haven’t seen it confirmed that either one isn’t in multiplayer. I’ve been avoiding leaks, and what official “evidence” there is is inconclusive because we don’t know what build of the game it’s all taken from.

I think a Hawk would work so much better than both the Falcon and the Hornet. It could be both highly maneuverable and powerful just like the banshee. And also it wouldn’t be a triple kill waiting to happen!

But it was soooo fun to dodge rockets in the falcon on Spire! Falcon was, IMO, one of the funnest vehicles to operate. Once you got good at it… you were goooooood. Especially if you knew how to fly the land evasively. Power weapons wouldn’t have a chance. If you had two gunners that listened to the pilot and coordinated… you were an unstoppable force. Just direct fire and hit 'n run. Too easy. Falcon wasn’t as bad as everybody says, it just all-too-often gets jacked by some guy who is screaming in his head “OMG!!11! I G0TZ DA F4LC0N!!1one1” and he takes off without getting a single gunner. This is where the teamwork aspect of Halo shows it’s lacking with randoms…

you won’t care about the falcon once you play the campaign, so i’ve read

Like I said, if the pilot know what hes doing. The falcons ability to just drop, rise, and can side step, easily avoiding all projectiles, Ya the banshee and flip but it requires timing, doing it to early will get you killed, doing it to late will get your nipped. the banshee bombs move slowly and any actual falcon pilot will tell you its to easy to fly around the banshee. And ya the banshees flips wont go nothing against a machine gun that is just bringing down hell.
