No hemmorhage in halo 4 please

One of the maps that I desperately hope finally dies in halo 4 is hemorrhage/blood glutch(this is unlikely I know). In reach, I hate hemorrhage so much. This map may have been fun in halo CE/2/3 days, but the inclusion of armor abilities breaks it. Another thing that bugs me about it is the absence of cover, going anywhere on this map is extremely dangerous. Eg is you start at the coastal base you can’t go right to the rock formation because it’s a death trap, you can’t go to the center because the vehicles and snipers have a clear view of you and make it a instant death trap, the cave and you base are is the only places where you have any small amount of safety. I sure hope exile is it’s replacement.

I know a few people like this map, I just happen not to like it. We all have maps that we don’t like, this just happens to be one of mine.

I’d rather see something closer to Valhalla, myself. It was actually possible to move on foot on that map.

But where will i drive my warthog and reminisce? :frowning:

Vahalla was a good map, I wonder why someone hasn’t made it in forge by now.

Forge World 2.0?

Sure hope it’s bigger. But unfortunately, I saw the soft kill zones in the RTX build, and I was REALLY hoping they’d done away with those. That’s primarily why I didn’t build anything in Forge World. All the areas I wanted to build in were blocked off by invisible walls and soft kill zones.

Indeed. I absolutely understand your arguments against the Halo 1 & 2 versions. It was horribly balanced in the favor of snipers, and if I recall in Halo 2, getting into any kind of vehicle was suicide.

they have several times. Its just too hard to make with the hills.

It’s Blood Gulch. Not Hemorrhage.

It went like this:

H1: Blood Gulch
H2: Coagulation
H3: Valhalla
H:R: Hemorrhage

They’re all variants of Blood Gulch’s canyon setting, two base, vehicle heavy team maps.

The problem with Hemorrhage was it was a near replica of Blood Gulch, which didn’t work with the precision DMR fire, much easier sniping, and the new Armor Abilities of Reach.

If you go back and play Coagulation or Valhalla, you’d see that each was more of an evolution of Blood Gulch than a carbon copy. These maps took into account the new game’s additions, such as changes in player traits, equipment, weapons and new features.

All Halo 4 needs to have is a new iteration that works well with the game, and I would love it. Blood Gulch is classic, and it wouldn’t be Halo without it.

They didn’t make the hills/valleys deep enough in Reach.

Doesn’t really have the clean lines that forge is good for. I have played an attempt at it but it never felt the same.

Also a lot of the open maps from last games wont work with the DMR such as blood gulch. Hope 343 understands this, and looking at their current BTB maps all looks good.

Coagulation was the best version, but even that wouldn’t work very well with Halo 4’s gameplay.

I’m not a huge fan of Hemorrhage because it just doesn’t feel right in Reach. Sometimes it was fun for custom games such as Halo CE Infection (Zombies spawn with shotguns/Players spawn with assault rifles) but that was about it.

One map that I know never got any recognition, that I personally would love to come back is RELIC from Halo 2. Whenever my friends came over back when the map pack first came out for Halo 2, it was my favorite map and probably still is in my top 10 Halo maps of all time. Just take a look.

But Red vs Blue uses Blood Gulch

When it comes to two bases in the middle of a box canyon, I will always think of Vahalla as the best version, hands down. It was the best balanced out of all of them.

because it’s mostly just a terrain map with bumps and hill’s you cant really make that with forge pieces you could only make the two bases.

I’m sure they could use exile instead if it came down to it.

Please, I hope that the bloodgulch series ends right after Reach. out of all canyon-maps valhalla was playable, and valhalla wasn’t a good map.

i agree valhalla isnt the best imo but it was still good but i hate zanzibar i find that very boring i hope thats not the map thats returning.

Thanks for bringing that up. WE DO NOT WANT ANOTHER ZANZIBAR. Just wanted to clarify that a bit more.

Gotta agree it starts to get old and it doesn’t play well with AAs.

343 said that there will be one remake and for the love of god I hope it’s not Blood Gulch. Fingers crossed for Sandtrap!
