No Halo November.

Yes. November will start my great journey. I shall not play a single Halo game until Halo:CE comes out. TO prepare myself for the game that started it all. After I play Halo:CEA I shall return to Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST and go to Reach to try out some of those classic maps.

Anyone else doing something like this?

I was playing CE today.

I have not played it for months. I want it to feel as new as possible. Yet after playing it for 10 so years it’ll be funny because I’ll know every plot twist, event, weapon, marine and glitch in the game. Yet still worth it to me

I’ll play Reach, then CEA, and so on.

Probs play Wars before them, even. Or at least watch all the cutscenes in one go.

Damn, good luck trying to hold that gut feeling of not playing Halo, I cant even do it myself.

Well, i promised i would only play the TU play list until CEA comes out.

This coming summer, when I have more time, I’m going to play/read all the Halo games and books in chronological order. Or maybe summer 2012, that way I can include Halo 4

My friends and I are playing everything in chronological order the week before November 15th. We will be playing through the entire campaign and a bunch of custom games.

  1. Halo Wars November 8th
  2. Halo Reach November 9th
  3. Halo CE November 10th
  4. Halo 2 November 11th
  5. Halo 3 ODST November 12th
  6. Halo 3 November 13th
  7. Halo CE Anniversary November 14th(MIDNIGHT!!!)

Man, wish I had the time to plan a week around Halo.

Wouldn’t you prefer to go straight from Reach, into CEA, just because they blend into each other so well? I guess you could quickly play Reach’s last level before you pop in CEA…

to get the sequential feeling, no matter how canon breaking it is, I’m going to start with reach and I will have to rent halo 3.

actually some of my teachers played halo and they asked me if i was going to get it. I came to school one day with the Master Chief helmet because of spirit week( Hero day) and my teachers were cool with it. My friends and i are in the same classes this year and we are in 3-4 AP classes, we are doin homework for like 2 hours tackling everything quick then we play HALO till midnight or so.

we kinda wanted to feel nostalgia badly lol. We havent really played Halo 3 in a long time.

i still need ODST and Halo Wars too have all current Halo games for 360 then if I can get Halo 2 on 360 get it an then play every Halo game in order of event so Halo Wars, Reach, CEA, Halo 2, and then finally Halo 3.

I have been playing halo since day 1 but my girl just got into it with reach and we played through that already and she wants to play the others so when CEA comes out we will play that and the go on in chronological order. It’s going to be so fun to playing all the games with someone who hasn’t played them before I can’t wait!

Same here. When I play through the campaign, I’ll probably do everything instinctively. For example, I hardly ever complete AotCR without taking the Banshee from the rock bridge. And I haven’t fought my way through the floors in years, I always just jump down straight at the level above the bottom level.

But it’ll be nice showing all this to my friend who has only played HalO CE once in his life and has never played the campaign.

Now only if Halo 2 had Co-op over live I could truly play a fun CO-OP experience with a friend over live all night, sadly Halo 2 now remains the only halo without online capabilities… :frowning:

I wish I could but I just don’t have the will power. I wish you luck in your endeavor though. I am sure it will make the experience that much sweeter.

There’s an achievement for that now. Go for it.

You should do it correctly, if you’re doing it chronologically. You’re close, but it involves a break.

  1. Halo Wars
  2. Halo Reach
  3. Halo: Combat Evolved/Anniversary
  4. Halo 2
    >>>STOP after the first Arbiter missions, do not proceed to the opening cutscene of Delta Halo.<<<
  5. Halo 3: ODST
    >>>RESUME Halo 2<<<
  6. Halo 3
