With Halo MCC Season 8 just came out and 343 Industries preparing to release Halo Infinite this year, is it possible that we are not going to get another Halo Master Chief Collection updates until 2022?
343 has already confirmed there will be another update this month. In terms of updates with new features/content it’s tough to say.
Another season would be unlikely considering they’re usually 2-3 months long and the holidays are around the corner.
An update is needed after season 8 was released, to fix graphical errors etc
There will not be another major batch update this year, 343 are moving away from large major updates and will push updates as they are ready.
They have confirmed no updates until next year.

We’re probably going to get another Halo Master Chief Collection updates on February 2022 or March 2022. Those could be the release dates for the next updates. At the same time, this can also give 343 Industries more time planning for the next updates in the Halo Master Chief Collection.
I think they should do some challenges with short time periods for nameplates ect. I know there is grassroots but not everyone can play when these people stream and it seems unfair that its only stream content.
There won’t be any more seasonal content after S8, and I wouldn’t hold out much hope for many updates until well after Infinite’s launch, maybe even after co-op and forge are added. 343 has a lot on their plate for the next couple months.

Will there still be opportunities to earn season points for the content I’m missing in seasons 6-8?
