No halo game was perfect at launch.

Not counting Halo CE (because it had no online) Halo 2 had that ridiculous bullet magnetism, and the noob combo never went away. Halo 3 launched with the beat down glitched causing loads of unfair beat down trades. Halo reach was just halo reach, no need to go into detail on that one. My point is, even though Halo 4 is far from perfect, most of the problems we have with the game can be fixed with patches and title update’s. If bungie can add the Insane game type, i bet 343 can patch in traditional infection, VIP and assault, playlist changes are easy and they said they could bring back old CTF with a patch already. Let’s just give 343 a couple of months to sort things out, and THEN rage if the problems have been resolved.

I think most of us know this.

The reason there are large volumes of threads about particular topics is because we are all eager to make the game as good as it possibly can be.

How will 343i know what we dont want and what is broken if we dont tell them?

Halo 2 and 3 was perfectly fine for me at launch. I had no problems what so ever. I got stuck right in and didn’t turn my xbox off until i had to sleep. That was it. Halo 4? I bought it day of release and didn’t touch it until 2 days later. When i did, i was back downstairs watching TV within 2 hours. Normally i would be excited and BE ALL UP HALO’S BUM HOLE! Not this time. Not last time. No No NO!

Big difference between telling 343 Halo 4 has is utter crap and providing solutions to actually making the game better. Sometimes, i think people believe the former achieves this rather than the optimal solution of latter. Which is totally wrong and causes nothing but grief, locked threads, and flame wars.

Of course, i kept my expectations realistic (unlike most fans on the forums due to the response after launch) knowing full well this game was going to great but rough around the edges.

And i was right. The game was a very enjoyable ride but it’s MP and Spartan Ops suites can be improved over time by providing good, non condescending critique; not the over-emotional, minor nit picking garbage some people type on the forums. Halo 4 needs sensible fans to get glitches fixed, balance tweaks, and add further functionality to game (like Theater, MM updates, scoring for Campaign and Spops). Hardly one who cares about Halo 4’s long term future is freaking out over the MP music, that 343 broke canon, the soundtrack isn’t like Marty, the art style isn’t in your “sophisticated and acquired” tastes etc.
