No Halo 4 Public Beta

I know there is no public beta for Halo 4, but has 343i stated why they decided not to make a public beta? It just seems like a good idea to have a beta for a game like Halo 4…there’s a whole bunch of new additions, and i think it’s safe to say there has been a HUGE overhaul in terms of gameplay.

Thanks

The time and effort that they would have to put into a public beta would lead to a delay in the game’s launch or something like that.

Effectively this^

you can get the same results from a closed beta as you can from an open beta

Pretty much this.

Comic-Con. E3. Pax. RTX. Plenty have had their hands on it and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

We’ve known that there would be no beta for…well…a long bloody time. Id rather have the game than play a beta. Maybe in H5 there will be

OP, They’ve said why many, many, many times why.

1:It takes to many people to run and maintain one, they would have to split their team in half which would be a stupid idea.
2:The majority of console gamers use betas as a demo, its much easier and more efficient to do a internal beta.

Those are the only reasons.

Is that seriously your gamertag? Haha just kidding. :paranoid:

They have many private betas and playtests for on the fly feedback. A public beta takes too long and most people treat it like a demo.

Also if it isn’t public the hype of the game increases especially when it some parts of the game are being released on youtube and by players who have played it.

It would take from the production of Halo 4. Essentiantly, it would delay the release of the game and ultimately the quality of the final product will be poor.

I believe the public beta for reach kind of hurt it. My opinion.

I would be a waste this far into development and just because some things are fixed doesn’t mean there still can’t be issues (Like Reach)

they confirmed no beta months ago.

In fact you can get better data, those in the private beta want to actually provide feedback rather than “demo” a game.

There’s a lot of people who don’t even report bugs or any data on the beta, it would most likely be a waste of time, and it would delay the release date.
