I’m tired of getting paired up with people and their guests. Most guests don’t even know how to play the game =(
I have lost so many games and have gotten betrayed so many times, because of guests who don’t know how to play or who goof around.
There needs to be a Team Slayer 4v4 playlist that has max local players 1 and max party size 1, there should be the same thing for Team Objective.
Please 343 go back to the way Halo 3 did it, there were guest friendly playlists, and there were no guest/extra players allowed playlists. Or just use what I said that is highlighted.
This would give the people who want to win better playlists to go into for the purpose of wining.
Rather than separate playlists, a tickable search filter for “One Local Player” could be employed so it could be used on any playlist.
If they did decide to go the route of separate playlists then it should be full of community maps that are no longer bound by the requirement to support split screen.

This.
I also think that 1 guest is acceptable while 3 or 4 is not, simply for framerate and game quality’s sake. Customs can still be 4 player.

This post is about no guests/party member. 1 guest/party member goes against it =(
Two no guests/party member playlists would improve a lot of things that can be very wrong with the rest of matchmaking.
These 2 suggested playlists would be for matchmaking only, everything else wouldn’t be effected.
Either you find some friends to play with you, or you suck it up. Searching alone or with a partial party runs you the risk of being matched with guests.

That’s easy for you to say . . =( And I shouldn’t have to suck it up, there is no reason there can’t be a playlist like I said in my OP.

Sorry for the double post, I hit quote instead of edit =(
> Most guests just want to play online with their friends, I don’t think it is right to deny them this just because they might have a lower skill level.
Did you not read the post I made . . ?
I never said all playlists would be like what I said in my OP, I said that there should be 2 playlists that have max local players 1 and max party members 1.

Um how is it not? From what I gather you want a team slayer and team objective with no guests. Well last time I checked arena was team slayer with no guests.

I said 2 playlists that have max local players 1 and max party members 1, Arena has max party members 4, big party size 3-4 (I’m not sure what that means), and max local players 2.
It isn’t the kind of playlist I mentioned in my OP.

No I read your post but the number of playlists is limited. One would have to be removed to cater to your desire. If they did so what then? You would complain about lesser skilled players dragging you down.
> Most guests just want to play online with their friends, I don’t think it is right to deny them this just because they might have a lower skill level.
For the insanely low percentage of players that ever have guests it is not right to degrade the maps and matchmaking to cater to them.
Team Slayer should remain as a 4v4 playlist that allows 4 local players and thus cannot support community maps. This playlist will cater to those players who do not want to play community maps for whatever reason and provide a place for guests to enjoy themselves.
Super Slayer should house the community maps and enable party matching.
The Arena should have ZB and be Sprint only appealing to the demographic of competitive players.
Team Objective should have a 2 local player limit and support community maps since not only does 4 local players clash with the 5 man teams leaving the odd man out but only a very few default maps can actually support 5v5 objective gameplay.
As nice as it would be to have a MERCENARY Slayer playlist it is quite redundant and would be in effect if party matching is enabled. If you were to search alone in Super Slayer you would never get matched against a team and always placed on either partial parties or with other individuals.

I don’t think there is a limit to how many playlists that there can be, and if there is I’m sure they could add a couple of more playlist before they hit that limit, also if I remember right there used to be more playlists then there is now.
Also I wasn’t trying to pick on anyone’s ability at the game, I was just saying that guests are more likely to get less kills, and tend to goof around a lot more.

In my OP I never said that current playlists would be changed, I said that there should be 2 new playlists.
I couldn’t think of a specific word to describe it, but I guess mercenary is close to it.
The 2 playlists would be where a person goes into Matchmaking by themselves and gets matched up with other people who go into Matchmaking by themselves.
Like in Halo 3 Lone Wolves, but with 4v4 Team Slayer or Team Objective type games.
