Not to dunk on the devs, but they didn’t really succeed on making it ambiguous. The second I saw all the body options I immediately realized they’re all dudes.

doesnt help that only the undersuit changes, not the armour itself, sometimes resulting in a baggy trousers effect.

Even on the other cores it still looks like a guy. I wanted to recreate my Halo 5 Spartan as best I could, but outside of my original color set being locked in a 10$ E-sports kit, Cloud9, I can’t even get the body to be similar.
