OP likely wasn’t in the loop on the marketing, which is why im cutting him/her/they a little slack, since sometimes some people hopping onboard can be unaware of why X was changed into Y, that can happen.

And? Everyone Halo Spartan i create is a badass female spartan. Regardless of armor choice or color. Why would I care what others assume my spartan to be?

Are you female? I am. It gets a little annoying when everyone in game assumes I’m a guy. Maybe you don’t have a problem with it, but it legit bugs me. In past Halo games with more dimorphism this didn’t happen nearly as often. So, it kind of does matter what other people assume.
Also, people like to show off their Spartans to other people. Again, maybe you don’t. But if all I care about was what I thought of my Spartan I might as well just draw pictures for my own amusement. What’s the point of customizing a Spartan I’m not gonna see 99% of the time if I don’t care what other people think?
that is a mentality fostered from 3-4, makes sense given how the armour used to be acquired back then.

You are confusing armor customization with gender expression. Armors are cools they should be shown off. When you view someone profile and see their character does it tell you the body type they have chosen? No. Gender slider would be no different. Others people would see what you have chosen anyway.
I think people want unlockable cosmetics in this game too. There’s a reason I care more about Judgement Flames then than other armor fxs. And it’s not because I think it looks better.

But yes, as many have stated before, there is no gender option. There’s only 3 (male looking) bodies and a selection of voices with 4 male and 4 female I believe.
Plenty of people are hoping for a wider selection of bodies in the future, but only time will tell.

I can, and in some cases, its better to stop, than to press on and result in a car crash, no matter who is at fault. a constant poking will only result in escalation, at that point it matters not who is right and wrong.
