What would you have changed about Kat to make her not “look like a dude”?
Mommy Kat
We need the thickness back
Less broad shoulders, less bulky arms, thicker thighs, armour actually fit the skinny body, maybe smaller feet and hands. I’ll say everything besides the gluteus maximus since I bet you’re wanting me to say that XD
Are we talking about the same character?
I’m looking at her in Halo Reach right now. Her shoulders aren’t that broad (she only has one shoulder by the way).
She only has one arm, and the arm she has isn’t bulky at all. It’s smaller than everyone else in Reach.
Her thighs look decently thick. She’s got more thigh than waist.
Her armor contours around her butt in the middle of these cutscenes.
I feel like you don’t remember anything about Kat at all.
Oh no no. Nothing wrong with her in Reach. I’m talking about trying to remake her in Infinite. I’m sorry I got you confused, my bad mate.
I think @Cmdr_Brannick is describing what he would change with the infinite version, not the reach version.
It isn’t binary. You have three body options and several voice options. It is up to you what your Spartan’s gender is.
if you cant tell the difference between the reach male and female models i dunno what to tell you
Can we at least stop pretending that we have 3 different body types? What we have is 3 very slight scaling differences to the same body type.
I already shoot anyone on the opposite team and no one on my team. It’s a great strategy for team play. If it’s FFA I recommend shooting everyone. That’s the only reason I see to shoot someone.
Don’t even bother with that idiot.
He’s only here to stir up trouble.
Cat ears are a good reason to kill teammates

Halo 3’s women Spartans had no curves.
Halo Reach popularized the idea, and Halo 4 and 5 rolled with it.
But the thing is that Spartans undergo augmentations that alter their phisiology.
It makes sense that Spartan women would be a bit more buff and less curvy because of that.
It’d actually enhance the feminine curves more. Ever seen women go to the gym? And I don’t mean roided people etc, more like athletes. It enhances the body, so men would get bigger biceps and women bigger thighs etc.
And Halo 3 was literally a voice swap as they didn’t/couldn’t make female bodies. There weren’t even female bodied marines until 3 or Reach I can’t remember.
Halo 3 was Spartan IIs though. All depictions of Spartan III and Spartan IVs have had noticeable dimorphism. Regardless though, they added an option that people liked, and now they took it away and not everyone is happy. It doesn’t matter the lore reasons. You’re gonna honestly sit here and argue a lore reason when we have Neon Pink and blue Samurai with mohawks and flaming feet in the game? Player customization was emphasized and marketed in this game, people have a right to be upset if they don’t feel it’s up to snuff.
This lore excuse doesnt work like how you want it to, those were spartan II’s and they are peak human physiology.
Spartan 4’s and 5’s look more akin to their gender, and it would make no sense that these spartans we play now use spartan II genetics because that would be far more expensive then the unsc can muster.
No excuse in my eyes for spartan 7’s to look like halo 3 spartans at all, they should look more akin to their previous generations.
Not like it would matter since the armour doesnt scale in game which literally detracts from the lore argument since every spartans armour is made and tailored for their body
The Spartan II arguement doesn’t work anyway. Just look at Kelly and Linda in 5.
They phased out gender specific options in the Master Chief Collection too, instead of male and female its now heavy and light armor, then you just select the voice you want. So you can be a bulky feminine character or a thinner masculine one.
And it’s great. Now we got dude Spartans with absolutely bonkers backsides, love it.
Oh no, it works, but 343i decided to just make it visually apparent that they were women. Which, yeah, does sorta’ go against older lore…
…But like who cares y’know? On the flipside their rears were ridiculous. I didn’t buy that the techsuit was anywhere NEAR as protective as older techsuits were.
