Does infinite have gender selection? I’ve recently got the game on my Xbox after not playing since the collection came to pc, and I found how to change voice and what looks like a weight slider but no gender select? Am I blind or does the game not have this? It seems weird to me they’d let me change my weight but not gender.

You can pick your body type and your voice separately but neither explicitly reflect gender, as well, there are fewer body types as other games might have had if you were looking for one in particular.

For the last time…
Your gender is based on which voice actor you pick.
1-4 are Male.
5-8 are Female.
Now you are picking your body-type to be either
- BUFF
- Average
- Slim
So now you can have your Spartan be a Buff man or a Buff woman, a typical muscular man or muscular woman, a femboy or a slender woman.

that’s the thing, people are getting hurt for you so you don’t have a voice on the matter and mods, twitter, anything social media related will silence you and ban you for wrong think. that’s just the way the world is right now…

There are only body types and voice types. Most games in this era have to do it to appeal to the PC crowd. Most games are phasing out “Male” and “Female” as well, referring to them as Type 1 and Type 2.
So what you’re really asking for is an EVEN MORE feminine body type, which yea, alot of people are already asking for so I expect this thread to be locked soon due to repeated topic.
It’s not about people being hurt, it’s about being inclusive. If you wanna blame someone, blame the WOKE or PC crowd. Apparently to them, just having Male and Female is an insult to their existence, because they wanna be LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ. I’m personally pretty tired of the whole LGBT community making things so complicated. I think I’ll just start calling people “genetically male sexual reproduction organ-haver” or “genetically female sexual reproduction organ-haver”

Love this level of trolling.
What we have come to see is being able to chose what gender your character is isn’t “hurting” anyone but the manufactured outrage of the inability to be “represented”.
My spartan is a buff spartan with a feminine voice because she sounds like she would be super cool in the canon.

Sorry for repeating posts. I haven’t really used waypoint since the redesign, and the only reason I know about it at all is because they used to give you free costumes for your avatar if you used the waypoint app lol.

Just surprised that this many people have a problem with this alteration out of all the other issues that Halo Infinite is plagued with currently.

A better question is why do you want there to be a gender slider? What would the options even be (what would you be actually happy with)?
They have done a perfect job with customization for gender. They gave us a blank slate. Literally the ability to think whatever you want about your spartan. Why would you want to limit yourself or others expression of their spartan by make an option based gender slider?

when the game sells itself on showing off the customisation, it is only natural to want more variety in other components, while this is also not as major as any of the other issues, it is still something that would be nice to have, “More options to use cause more options is nice.” especially when the body type slider has the potential to allow for more options, ironically what got me so heavily invested in this topic was Yoroi, being unaffected by the current body slider we have.
and the topic wouldn’t be cropping up so much if it didn’t get closed so many times, I like it when it gets locked, since that allows people to cool off, I don’t like it when it gets closed, since that only creates further antagonism and kills the conversation, forcing a reset every time it does resurface.

It’s not a perfect job. A lot of people don’t feel represented by the options in the game. And people have pointed out that armor doesn’t fit type 1. You can see behind pieces of armor you clearly weren’t intended to. It’s not manufactured outrage that people aren’t happy, it’s legit unhappiness.
And for what it’s worth, the engine absolutely can accommodate armor that scales to fit the body type. This can be seen with the Chubby Spartan mod.
I for one don’t feel represented by the options we have, and would like for at least two more body type options. I’m not entitled to get what I want. It’s not my game, but don’t act like it’s trolling for people to voice their concerns.
