So here’s just one of the issues I have about Halo 4 right now… Why is there no friendly fire in the SLAYER gametypes?! And yet there it is in Oddball/other objective types?!
Friendly fire isn’t designed so that you can betray the first person to pick up snipe or rockets (now that they did away with pre-set weapon spawns, you don’t really worry about that anyway). Friendly fire is there to ensure that you don’t spam your nades or rockets or bullets into a crowd of your team just to hit all enemies and not face the consequences of hitting your team. This takes a lot of skill out of the game, as people have to be less careful with grenades/other weapons.
Now what I REALLY don’t understand is why the hell you would put friendly fire into objective gametypes, like oddball? Where kills don’t even matter? If you’re going to remove it, remove it from SLAYER gametypes, where it actually makes sense to increase the skill required to KILL someone… Whereas in objective, it doesn’t matter if you’re lobbing grenades at your team in attempt to kill someone because kills don’t matter.
